Yep, Kalb let his team act like fools to end the year and gets a pay raise. Still involved with football but his wife and mother in law on the school board got him a sweet new gig and he let his buddy take over the football team.
So we can expect the total lack of discipline to still be lingering come the new football season?? What a shame if this hold true. I’d rather see the Trojans go 0-10 and have a disciplined group that doesn’t start throwing punches when met with adversity. It’s hard to support a program that allows such behavior. Having said that, I do want whats best for the Portsmouth Trojans.
So is it official that Hammond was hired? Latest news I had heard is the job wasn’t posted yet? I wonder what phs is waiting on with posting the job could cost them some potential candidates with all of the current job openings.

Not sure they are going to post the job. From my understanding they offered Duncan who said no and then Hammond. It’s a buddy system. I’m not even sure why Kalb got the promotion to AD. I mean the old AD was lazy but he was fine.
It sounds like some people had others in mind and just don’t like it that it was a hiring from within. Like with any job, the post happens within before it is posted external. I know some schools don’t do it that way but many union contracts have that language in them. They have a new head coach and AD… congratulations to them!!

Please it’s 4 starting, but sure, 1 of those kids returning to Portsmouth, coming from ND, the other from ND, a third from ND….that school happens to be in the city of Portsmouth, the kid from Burg may even live in Portsmouth not sure, those kids came last year, they haven’t and won’t win a state title with them, they are at Portsmouth by the book, hence nobody had to sit out, the state didn’t have to get involved but that’s basketball talk on a football thread. Spin it anyway you want but hijacking another thread over those 2 schools in the area that blatantly have recruited and won state championships from it is wild. There’s enough threads with that garbage, but let’s add it to any thread we can. So jealous of one another that they both have to be the center of attention.
