YTB: Congrats on taking the initiative and making 'the step'. I have been doing Weight Watchers for a little over a year now and the biggest thing I've learned besides portion control is that this whole matter is in our heads. It's a game like many things and we decide who wins and who loses. We can say we 'can't' do something and we are defeated before we start. We can say we CAN and what's to stop us? In the beginning, when I wanted something I didn't need, I would picture it laying on the road or even worse, in an ashtray.

I would aim for losing 'a gallon of milk' at a time. I don't know why I picked that, except it stuck in this feeble brain and I used it and have now lost the equivalent of 8 gallons.

I'll come home and tell Mr. Mum, I've hit the next gallon and he laughs. My strides have been coming slowly but surely in every direction, thank goodness I'm patient because I lose slowly. I know I'm lengthy here, but, I know how much better my health is and I know you will reap big benefits. Be diligent and if you 'fall off the wagon', get back on immediately. Don't way until the next day, get there the next meal! I wish you both all the success and great health you can get! Good luck!!
