2025 Cleveland Browns

Post by GalliaGrad78 »

Thought it was time to turn the page on 2024, lol.
Not ready to anoint him yet, but Sanders looked pretty good last night.
The moment was not to big for him.
Maybe he moves up the depth chart, maybe not.

The media is making him out to be the next Pat Mahomes. I don't trust these preseason games at all. Recent QBS have torn it up then flopped once they saw what it was really like when it kicked off for real. Not to mention Carolina was the worst defense in the league last year and didn't play all their starters for a series. First drive was mostly starters but had some backups as well. After the second drive it was all backups. He didn't start getting better until Carolina gifted them that first TD near the end of the quarter. This week will be much different if Philly plays everybody. I will be watching the numbers. I hope they do so we can get a better gauge. One good thing is they say he's been playing with backups himself so that will build some confidence.

Stefanski still got Shedear listed at 4th string, whipping the media and armchair QBs into a frenzy.

I thought Gabriel did alright even though it was against backups. The pick wasn't all his fault. He might have forced it a little, but the tight end should have caught it, if the receivers were not all bunched up together, he would have. I'll be so glad to get the preseason over with!

Flacco deserved a better fate. Them receivers have got to hang on to the ball. Will the Browns ever find a kicker? They just got rid of Hopkins now this new guy misses a chip shot and extra point.

This team is unwatchable. The biggest problem is we long time fans are getting used to the futility. Apathy is the worst thing that can happen to a team. Good luck in dome. Meet the new team, same as the.old team!

I was wondering if you were still alive, D&C. It's Gabriel time! Flacco is a good backup, but that's about it. His age and mobility is a killer. Time to see what the young guys can do. I'm not that confident either, in their future, but they're just wasting time starting Flacco. Get started now to see if either of these young guys got what it takes or draft another QB next year. Eventually they got to get lucky, but it's the Browns so maybe not. Hey on the bright side, the field goal kicker was perfect today.

Mayfield with another game winning drive tonight. I forgot the Browns did get lucky and found someone decent not that long ago then unceremoniously shipped him out for not playing good enough while injured. He might not get them to a Superbowl but at least they're fun to watch unlike the one touchdown and field goal (if the kicker doesn't miss) offense we see now.

OMG! The whacky, whacky, NFL! Browns Defense deserves the keys to the city after that one. The kicker makes up for week one in a big way! What did you think of that D&C? Your favorite team shocks your second favorite team. I still think they need to get the young QB'S in there and see what they got. The offense isn't going anywhere with Flacco. Great QB in his time but that time has passed. :(

Stefanski has to be the most stubborn coach ever! Jimmy Truckstop needs to get in his ear to start playing these young guys before it's too late to give them a decent look. Is it going to take an injury to Flacco before we see what they got? Geez

Joe was magic in 2023, he had Cooper. Joe hasn't a good receiver, the magic is gone. Time to play the rookie(s).

Both tackles are out also grad, maybe that's another reason he is reluctant to put them in. Got to do it sooner than later. Clock is ticking

It's confirmed he finally did it, but in a typical Brownsie move left Sanders at third string. I don't even know why they drafted him, he must have looked really bad in practice.

More than 10 points for the Brownies offense. That's a step in the right direction. NFL Network was messed up and my dvr didn't get the second half for whatever reason, but I looked at the stats, and it looked like Gabriel had a decent rookie start. No turnovers and a 94.3 rating. Hopefully he will keep improving. He didn't get much help from the normally stingy defense as they gave up almost 350 yards against a washed-up and injured Carson Wentz. :(

Flacco to the Bengals? That's elder abuse putting him behind that line. Well at least shedoor moves up now next in line.
