Jackson Ironmen making the list (I think I got everyone, read through it a couple times):Chieftain2009 wrote:Div III All-State: http://www.jjhuddle.com/2015/12/02/2015 ... ball-team/
Congratulations to Billy Cooper on District Player of the Year on Defense and making the 1st team All-Ohio list, he will be a force to be reckoned with for one more year as he is only a junior. Great honor and well deserved.
Congratulations to senior Hunter Sexton 2nd team All-Ohio.
Congratulations to seniors Austin Leach, Elijah Woolum, Sheldon Moore and Collin Massie for making honorable mention All-Ohio. I believe Elijah is going on to play for the Air Force Academy, tremendous opportunity for him.
Congratulations to junior Raymon Potter for making honorable mention All-Ohio (IMO deserving of at least a 2nd team nomination) but very sure that he will have an opportunity to do that next year. I believe he led the team in tackles again from his MLB spot this year. Surprised Roseberry was not in this listing somewhere, he is consistently disruptive defensively and had some games (Logan and Watterson come to mind) that just set the tone for us all game.
Hope I got everyone that was mentioned in the article, such a good TEAM this year and so, so many deserving players across the roster that made the entire group go, really started to see us get settled in starting Week 6-7 and a lot of improvement peaking with the play-off games. Last year I felt we peaked after Week 5, this year had a different feel to it in my opinion.
Jackson 2016 will be loaded, and I think they will have the opportunity to break through the Regional Championship barrier, they will have a suffocating defense again and should be very balanced offensively. In addition to Potter, Cooper and Roseberry listed above they will have back Farley, McCoy, Hall, Neal, Kirby, Storms and host of others, too many to name and not leave out someone. This year's frosh team will add some players into the mix as sophomores also. Good groups for the forseeable future all the way back into middle school.
Congrats again to the 2015 team and Go Red in 2016.
