Re: If your league were to add a school
Here's 2 scenarios I think would be interesting for the TVC and the OVC/SOC (will never happen, but could be great).
Tri-Valley Conference
TVC 1 or East Ohio Division - Division 2/3 in Football; Division 1/2 in Other Sports
Athens
Logan
Marietta
Parkersburg South (WV)
Warren
Zanesville
TVC 2 or West Ohio Division - Division 4/5 in Football; Division 2/3 in Other Sports
Alexander
Gallia Academy (if 3 divisions in other sports; moves up)
Meigs
River Valley
Vinton County (if 3 divisions in other sports; moves up)
Wellston
TVC 3 or East Hocking Division - Division 6 in Football; Division 3 in Other Sports
Belpre (if 3 divisions in other sports; potentially moves down)
Crooksville
Federal Hocking (if 3 divisions in other sports; moves down)
Fort Frye
Nelsonville-York
Wahama (WV) (if 3 divisions in other sports; moves down)
TVC 4 or West Hocking Division - Division 7 in Football; Division 4 in Other Sports
Eastern-Meigs
Miller
Southern
South Gallia
Trimble
Waterford
Southern Ohio Valley Conference
SOC I - No Divisions in Football
West Division:
Clay (No Football) [1]

If the SVC ever expanded I'd like to see this:
Small School (SVC 1)
Adena
Eastern (Beaver)
Huntington
Paint Valley
Southeastern
Big School (SVC 2)
Unioto
Zane Trace
Waverly
Piketon
Westfall

Big School (SVC 2)

Re: If your league were to add a school
As good as they are, I think Waterford and Trimble would struggle in that division.TVC wrote: ↑Fri May 19, 2017 7:06 am TVC should add 3 schools that is already in their area and split into 3 divisions, which world mean more league titles. Warren, FF and Ravenswood.

The TVC Ohio will be..
Alexander
Athens
Meigs
Nelsonsville York
River Valley
Vinton County
Warren
Wellston
Soon.
Warren will be voted back into the Conference in which they helped charter back in 1969 within the next few years. Wait and see.

Was there a special meeting between the mayor of Dundas and the mayor of Barlow?

Re: If your league were to add a school
I like Warren to the TVC. Vinton vs Warren in basketball would be like Athens vs NY in football. Plus Warren is getting a brand new school
Re: If your league were to add a school
The TVC will not expand. Too many members makes it too hard to do anything.
That being said. I think the league should maintain its current format for football but should go to three divisions in everything else. This would reduce travel and create geographic rivalries.
Here is what I propose:
Division 1
Athens
Nelsonville
Fed Hock
Trimble
Alexander
Division 2
Belpre
Waterford
Miller
Wellston
Vinton Co
Division 3
South Gallia
Meigs
River valley
Wahama
Southern
Eastern

CCL - Columbus Cristo Rey - they just got approved for admission to the OHSAA, so sports dominance will rapidly ensue, LOL.

Re: If your league were to add a school
why would burg want to go to the ovc. p-town dropped us for a reason and that's b/c they can't beat us. do u really think they want it to be a conference game. also we have played fairland how many straight seasons and they have only had like one good season. coal grove also quit playin us not once but twice b/c they can't beat us. IMO this wouldn't be smart b/c we would struggle for 2nd level points.

I feel like Ironton and Portsmouth would have better luck joining the SOC than Burg joining the OVC, and we seen how well Portsmouth did trying to join the SOC.

Re: If your league were to add a school
guys none of this is going to happen , just posters bein silly. ironton n Portsmouth tried joining the soc and were not allowed. and the ovc increased it's strength a great deal by the addition of ironton, portsmouth, and gahs. all 3 programs are down by their own standards, but will get better, and that will make the league much stronger. and with teams like coal grove, rock hill, and Chesapeake gelling it should get very competitive. we get fairland, south point and a couple others rolling. it will be a legit hard league to win , with possible numerous teams making the playoffs. the trick is getting to them and winning.

Re: If your league were to add a school
SOC is on shaky ground this year with green and notre dame possibly not fielding teams but something has to give especially with western fielding a possible team oak hill and northwest can't compete in SOC II

Re: If your league were to add a school
Portsmouth whines to much about getting beat and missing the playoffs OVC is perfect for them OVC is a weak conference Waverly would be a great fit for SVC but if Waverly would leave it would weaken the SOC to many light weight schools would be left like east clay nb green nd northwest
Re: If your league were to add a school
The TVC took in a weak Athens team and they came back and it strengthen the TVC. Hoping Gallia, Portsmouth and Ironton do the same. Right now it looks like Ironton and Portsmouth might have turned the corner and Gallia might be a couple years away.YOU'RE TIGER BAIT wrote: ↑Sat Jun 24, 2017 9:35 am guys none of this is going to happen , just posters bein silly. ironton n Portsmouth tried joining the soc and were not allowed. and the ovc increased it's strength a great deal by the addition of ironton, portsmouth, and gahs. all 3 programs are down by their own standards, but will get better, and that will make the league much stronger. and with teams like coal grove, rock hill, and Chesapeake gelling it should get very competitive. we get fairland, south point and a couple others rolling. it will be a legit hard league to win , with possible numerous teams making the playoffs. the trick is getting to them and winning.

When Waverly wins an SOC title then you might be able to talk, or even beat teams like Wheelersburg, or West and Valley when they have good seasons on a regular basis in football. I am sure a few SOC I teams could compete and beat Waverly in basketball as well.Football fan wrote: ↑Fri Aug 11, 2017 10:20 pm Portsmouth whines to much about getting beat and missing the playoffs OVC is perfect for them OVC is a weak conference Waverly would be a great fit for SVC but if Waverly would leave it would weaken the SOC to many light weight schools would be left like east clay nb green nd northwest
