Thoughts on this one . The Raiders have struggled this season but with it being senior night I look for them to step it up and get their first win of the year .
Which team shows up for VC? The one that held a 21-7 lead against minford with a minute to go in the 3rd quarter? Or the team that dominated Alexander statistically but fell short in overtime? This game could be anywhere from a close RV win or a VC 3 score victory. I’ve learned with this years Vikings that nothing is impossible. So who knows!
Just don’t think I see RV being able to score a whole lot here, take away 2 big scoring games and they’ve scored a grand total of 13 points in the other 5 games. Can see this game going in either direction but for now let’s take VC by 1 score.
I agree greygoose. 14 points against NY and 14 points against Meigs were scored on the jv defense in those games when both NY and Meigs made mass substitutions. So it looks like R.V. scored 33 points total in 7 games. I will take V.C. in this one 21-7.
VC lost a tough game to Minford last week after having a 2 touchdown lead at one point. From week to week all year you never know what team from VC is going to show up. River Valley needs that first win so bad. I think it could be a very good close ballgame. I hope both teams have an injury free game.
Considering every game has been a dog fight for Vinton County, I expect this to be the same. Seems they play to their competition every week.
After their performance at Minford, I would say they have the momentum. If they feed Sibner and not turn the ball over they will win by 2 scores…however, they’ve struggled to pull through in crucial situations…so this could go either way.
it depends on what Vc team shows up. if it’s the Vc team that played against SE then Vc wins big but if its the Vc team that got beat by Alex then it will be a dog fight
