Tournament Records by Conference

Each year I like to run this, typically gives a good indication as to which conferences are the the strongest. Of course it’s always a little skewed because sometimes league opponents face each other in the tournament.

I’ll try to update this after each wave of games.

River Valley 0-1
Vinton County 0-1
Wellston 0-1

I only include the above conferences. If someone would like to track another, like the MSL, be my guest.

I also typically only use schools that participate in the SEO tournament, not elsewhere.

In SHAC D2: Fayetteville has won 2 in tournament games so far in Southwest district . Ripley lost 1

Fayetteville lost in District game. Riverview East 41- Fayetteville 30.

Miller is not in the TVC anymore. The small school division of the MSL I believe.

Thank you, edited and fixed.

The SVC and TVC Ohio are in a battle! Also, both of their wins are against teams from within their conference.

Who did Nelsonville beat?

Wellston

Oh yeah, that’s right. I forgot about that. Thanks for the reminder.

I’ll do the MSL

MSL-BUCKEYE
5-3 (4-1 SE District, 1-2 C District)
Wins: Teays Valley, Fairfield Union, Logan Elm, Circleville (x2)
Losses: Hamilton TWP, Liberty Union, Logan Elm (lost to FU)
Have not played yet: Bloom Carroll, Amanda-Clearcreek

MSL CARDINAL
2-2 (0-1 SE District, 1-1 C District, 1-0 E District)
Wins: Rosecrans, Harvest Prep
Losses: Grove City Christian, Miller
Have not played yet: Millersport, Berne Union, Fisher Catholic, Fairfield Christian

MSL OHIO
No SE teams, plus seceding from the MSL next year anyway, so meh.

And for the heck of it since they are local:

New Hope Christian: 1-0 (they play in the OCSAA, not OHSAA).

Should be updated after last night.

Thank you Exile!

Early thoughts:

OVC and SOC 2 are flexing their muscle early and that should continue into this weekend’s sectional finals. For the SOC 2 – South Webster, Eastern, Wheelersburg, Minford, Valley, Northwest all enter their games as the lowest seed. West will be playing Minford.

OVC has Gallia, South Point, Fairland all entering as favorites. Rock Hill, Chesapeake, Ironton all still alive but as the higher of the seeds. Portsmouth also will be playing South Point.

TVC Ohio was down this year and that has shown quickly in the tournament.

There are four SOC 2 teams in the Southeast 1 District and only one in the Southeast 2.

I wish the two district brackets would have been split a little differently. If Minford were to make it to the regional semi, they would have to eliminate 3 of their own conference teams(assuming the SOC 2 teams continue to win).

Being a Minford fan I do not like the idea of having to beat 3 good teams 3 times in one year. The odds are stacked against you in that scenario. However, I guess that’s one way to for sure earn it!

Thanks for keeping up with these.

Another great night for the SOC teams.

Records should be updated.

Forgot about the New Boston and St.joe and Green game

Minford beat West so that’s 1-1 for the SOC 2

North Adams, Lynchburg and Fairfield all won sectionals and advance.

Valley, wheelersburg, and minford all won sectionals and advance. Northwest lost a close one to Lynchburg clay and west went down to soc on soc crime. 3-2 on the night for soc2
