The long wait for the Cleveland professional baseball team’s nickname is apparently over.

Never have been a fan of Cleveland and never will be.But I am a fan of the history of baseball and I think this knee jerk reaction to rename a historic franchise is stupid.If they had to change the name couldn’t they have come up with something better? They sound like an insurance company now.
Well that would match them up with the stadium name but I agree it sounds so stupid! Should have went back with their old name. Maybe they was afraid of offending spiders. Lol

Seriously though, social justice and political correctness now permeate society. Every home stand, the local minor league team has Latino night. Uniforms, programs, scoreboards, menus and announcing are done in Spanish. It is kind of fun but I would take Guardians over the Verdevilla Conducirs any day.
