River looked decent in scrimmage

River passed the ball well in a scrimmage at Bellaire, and i think, the first-teams tied 2-2. Should be one of Pilots strengths this season.

Bellaire could not stop River from running the ball down their throat.

Their spread passing offense was good, but the defense struggled. If the Pilots’ RB duo can stay healthy, they will have huge years.

With Nixon hurt I believe River is in drivers seat.

Definately sorry to hear about the Nixon boy, just shows it can happen to anyone anytime. Rivers run game looked just as good as the passing game at Bellaire. Other than 2 picks, one off a deflection and one when the reciever fell down, the offense scored everytime they had the ball. Teams wont be able to load the box every play like last year, much more balanced now. I agree that if both backs can stay healthy they will pose a serious threat to any defense. With Asturis power and straight line speed and Sapps ability to threaten the edge they will be difficult to defend. Two starters out on D at Bellaire definately hurt the defense. If we can make it through tomorrows scrimmage without any injuries everyone should be back before next Fri. night.
