Waverly by 3 or 4 scores.
Valley seems to be beat up right now. They were on the way to a great season. Possibly still have one but waverly will win big.

Waverly by 28
Taking the tigers by 31
Past halfway point of the season, Tigers getting a little healthier, Indians heading in the opposite direction.
Big challenge for Waverly’s young offensive line. Valley’s defense is solid especially against the run. I watched the game vs Portsmouth and they completely shut down Parker. He struggled to even get back to the line of scrimmage. I couldn’t have been more impressed with their run defense.
But as we all know it would be a mistake for Valley to load the box and dare Waverly to throw the ball. This should be an interesting game. Valley has played Waverly tough the last couple of years. Expect nothing less this time. Go Tigers!!
Valley a lot of injuries and a lot of freshman.
Waverly by a lot
Valley has just been devastated with the injuries last 2-3 weeks and I’m afraid they just don’t have the horses to keep up here. Valley’s run defense was excellent against Parker but that early in the season only thing anyone had to worry about was parker at the time. With all the skill players waverly has I just don’t think you can focus on stopping 1 guy. Although with Shanks playing hurt and lacking all mobility Shoemaker is the guy to key on but that leaves this 6-5 Wrs in Futhey out there. Waverly by 4 scores.

If the Indians were healthy, I would be a lot more optimistic about this contest. Waverly may be the best team in the SOC2, so its a tall order for Valley. I don’t like to make excuses, but when the injury bug hits you like it has Valley, it makes it that much more difficult. The good news here, all those younger players gain more valuable experience to take forward.
Good luck Indians!

I’m just thinking off the top of my head here… Other posters who were at the last game can help me here if I forgot something.
Guys I remember touching the ball
11, 17, 24, 1, 9, 21, 80, 3, 5… The biggest plays were made by #1 and #3, both freshmen. #9 a freshman who I didn’t even know was playing also had some very nice runs. Two seniors, 17 and 24 would have surely had bigger roles if they weren’t hurt early. I saw a staff scratching and clawing to stay in the game with bunch of young and inexperienced players, which was easy to see from the stands as some of the young guys were having trouble lining up. Judging by your join date, your kid must not have had enough touches for your liking, so you decided to blast coaching behind a username. I’d be proud of myself.
Valley’s defense was very very good but injuries are hitting hard. My kid told me that both of Valley’s inside linebackers are out for the year.
Exactly how many Tiger fans on here have said Waverly will win by 20+? We know Valley will be a fight.
Just because it’s a Waverly/Valley thread doesn’t mean Waverly folks are the ones saying that.
It would be a sad day for Valley athletics & Valley Schools if the coaching staff is all in on boosting individual stats instead of winning ball games. Sounds like you should take that concern to the School Board.
This game is to tough to call. My mind says valley doesn’t have enough bourses left to keep it close but I have never seen a Darren Crabtree coached team give up.
I hate to lose but I really hate to loose!
Absolutely. I’m sure the winningest coach in SOC history has quit worrying about winning games and started concentrating on stat padding. I’ll sign your petition!
