Circleville & Logan Elm: dire straights?

Circleville was expected to be down. LE probably wasn’t going to contend for the MSL-Buckeye crown, but things seem to be precarious in Tarlton from afar. 1-9 last year, 0-3 this year after tonight’s loss to Miami Trace.

Any idea what’s going on up in Pickaway County?

Are any Circleville or Tarleton parents open-enrolling their kids to Teays Valley? Or possibly Westfall, if they have OE?

Another possibility is familes re-locating to new developments in Commercial Point. I know some Hamilton Twp families who are doing that, but no idea how many.

Re Circleville, I figured they were due for a nice resurgence, with the excitement of updating their campus, which has been looking very sharp the last two times I’ve been there, and with Heath Hinton at the helm. Isn’t Logan Elm also upgrading their buildings also?

We knew last season was coming for Logan Elm and this season was coming for Circleville for several years. Smaller rosters and thin at a number of key positions.

Logan Elm has had a couple of key early season injuries that has hurt it. Logan Elm has some talent coming up in its middle school program, so I expect the Braves to start making progress next season. Also playing a sophomore quarterback this season who has showed some good poise for his age and has some promise.

Circleville has had a combined middle school team for several seasons and has it again this year. It’s going to be awhile before the Tigers turn it around.
