Has Logan played yet this year? If so who have they played and how are they doing?
1st game
any word?
Bloom Carroll 62
Logan 54
tale of two halves in this game for logan…score 11 points in the first half then come out with a 29 point outburst in the 3rd, they cut it as close as i think 3 during the second half but bloom carroll would always answer logans runs with 4 or 5 quick points then logan would cut it back down and just couldn’t get over the hump
… 16 for 60 shooting didn’t help the cause for the Purple … I believe BC was 50% or better from the field for the game … it was good to see Mays on the court …

Logan will do much better. Count on it.
Did Angle play
Bloom Carroll is not expected to be much above a 500 team. The Chiefs had better get there act together or it will be a very long season. Also Pat did not play nor will he play untill maybe the 1st of Jan.
I agree moonschein, they can’t be starting out games like they did against Bloom Carroll and its the first game also, Myers has to find out which unit gives him the best chance to win and what unit plays best together. If Logan plays like they did in the second half for all four qtrs. against fairfield union they’ll win by more than 10. Fairfield Union is a scrappy team, went to OT with Logan last year
BC not supposed to be a .500 team? I am really not sure who told you that. BC will be competing for a league championship and will most likely be playing in the regionals yet again this year. They go 9 deep without losing a step and are extremely well coached. Logan didn’t lose to a slouch of a team Tuesday night. Yes, BC plays a freshman and two sophomores a significant amount of time but they are very talented. BC played very poorly in the second half of that game against Logan’s 5 players and the 3 officials.
Logan will be fine once they get Angle back. They have some strong kids, kids that shoot it well, and are very scrappy on the defensive side of the ball. Good Luck to Logan the rest of the way.
… as LDN Sports Editor Craig Dunn wrote in his game recap - this was definitely a tale of 2 halves … Logan could not of looked any worse in the first half offensively - 11 points ??? run and gun totaling 11 points - worked out to about 1 point per Chieftain that played in the first 2 quarters … bring on the 3rd/4th quarters - the second half of the tale of two halves - 43 points in the final half , 29 point 3rd quarter … "offensive" pressure created by getting into the paint was rewarded by the Purple getting to the line … the "havoc ball" defense will and DID force BC into turnovers, pushed the game tempo into one that the Chiefs liked …one that had the Purple getting off more shots than the opponent (BC) - I believe the Chiefs had a 60-38 "shot on goal" advantage - although BC shot better than 50% from the field while Logan was 16 for 60 (26.6%) while NOT getting off shots on 22 possessions due to turnovers … Patrick Angle was definitely missed BUT there IS a whole lot of energy still available in the Purple lineups that are put on the floor … keep in mind that there is usually major improvement between game one and game two - the Purple players will be fine … more as the season moves along for the Purple boyz - next action Tuesday night vs Fairfield Union …
