41 Clev. Villa Angela 7 Portsmouth Notre Dame

The difference between these two was like a wind blowing and a hurricane

yep

No surprise here.

After watching last night my big question is how did ND beat them 8-0 on their home field last season ? Is Villa that improved from last season ? I know that # 5 missed last seasons contest but 1 player wasn’t the difference . We really laid an egg, I certainly could be far off base but we didn’t appear ready to play emotionally . Villa came out smoking and we looked defeated in the 1st Q . But Villa is LOADED with athletes that we just don’t see at our division around here . 6’6 receiver , 6’7’ tight end 6’2 or 6’3 QB and all can run. very nice team for sure .

VASJ had a number of players that missed ALL of last season and finished 1-9 as they were beat like a ragdoll by most teams with huge scores run up. ND was a close game last year. This year , all the players are healthy and they are unbeaten. Yet they are probably underdogs vs Cleve. Cent. Catholic and Warren JFK . Maybe Trinity as well. I’m surprised the score wasn’t worse vs ND.

I am somewhat mesmerized how much success ND has enjoyed in football for having so few boys. Hope the Titans can bounce back for next week.

Yeah FC , for our numbers which are among the lowest in the state we really put a quality product on the field . Its tradition, we love our football and support the program in every way possible. Just a few years ago there prob wasn’t ten boys in the entire HS that were not playing football.

what was reason for players not being able to play Last year ? injury , grades , ?
