Was super impressed with the Vikes last night at their 7 on 7 in Jackson. They have some good athletes and their energy was high. Obviously Athens is a huge favorite in the tvc Ohio but I see VC having a good shot to be next on the food chain.
Vinton County should be very good this season. Seems like the numbers are high, the coaching staff is good, and everyone is dedicated to winning.
2nd place in the Ohio should be a dog fight this year lol

Who does VC scrimmage this year
We have The Hornets of Coal Grove. Always a good indicator for us. O line is pretty young. Graduated a really good center. Hard to replace. But should be ok. Think we cans be as good as 8-2 and as bad as 4-6. Hoping to. Fetter 500.
The line will be the key. If vc line isn’t real strong they won’t win .
Great point. They graduated some quality linemen, but the op/do coach has a way in bring out the best in the young guys. Think theft will be ok. Have a little more depth there than in years past.

I didn’t make it up pap but according to some who did, VC looked pretty good.
Looked pretty good. QB making good decisions. Receivers look good. The corners look tough. A little undersized but stay right on their man. VC got beat deep a few times but that happens. Logan looks pretty tough too. Very up tempo team with a couple of nice receivers. Fun night! :122245

Disappointment.
VC needs to work on tackling and they MUST get the line going. They will be undersized most of the season so they have to be fundamentally solid. Which they weren’t last night. I came in to the scrimmage last night thinking VC could be a 7 win team. I left thinking I just watched a 3-4 win team. Get it together fellas!!!
Don’t give up on them so fast fellas. That was very sound, big, fast, and deep coal grove team. They had st through 5th teams. And their 2’s were pretty darn good. Would be ones here. Our 1’s did move the ball against their’s and we had some injuries that hurt us. We got a week from Friday b4 the next look at our boys. Let some healing up happen. Some guys get some more reps and I think you will see a better showing. Coal Grove is a complete team who will be atvthe top of their league. And a lot better than last year. But we have a lot of potential. Lets give them a chance.
Coal Grove has DI commitment up front, they should be very very solid. I wish, VC and Warren played, would be a solid competitive game this year.
