Thoughts on this county rivalry game?
LE by 12
I haven’t seen LE.
Circleville is better this year. 3 or 4 kids who can score the ball. Like the game and each other. Pretty well coached. Nice structure.
I think LE should fire Coach Stiverson before they play Circleville. That’s the only chance they have to win!
Haha Braves87, I know thats sarcasm. I havent seen Circleville play this year, but what i am really anxious to see is which side TravisHill222 will sit on at this game. I know he’s fed up with coach Stiverson coaching these undersized kids LE. I know if LE gets another coach those kids will all grow to avove 6’6" and win every game by more than 50…![]()

Circleville lost one of their best players to injury, but Riley Gibson has really come on this season and played well. They also got some solid production from D.J. Pickett and Evan Justice in the last game.
Should be a good game.
As for Travis, he’ll be wondering why Coach Stiverson isn’t playing that invisible 6-8 stud on the bench that is getting all of those D1 looks.
If u want to talk about improvements just look @ the job Chris Holtmann has done @ Ohio State the last two years nobody expected this to happen in 2 years. He’s like the Urban Meyer of basketball. The same situation should be happening in year 2 @ LE but it’s not gotten to that point yet but there’s still 15 games left in the season so I want to apologize for what I said about Coach Stiverson. I was way out of line.
Ohio State = Recruiting the best 18-22 year olds in the country and the coach gets played milllions of dollars.
LE= 15-16 year old kids learning the varsity game after one year of experience playing 8th grade level talent with a coach that is there to teach the kids more than basketball making a lot less money than Chris Holtzman.
The college game is also very different than high school, and NBA is different than college. If you honestly can’t see the improvement in these kids from last year you’d have to be blind. In the games these kids have lost this year, just look at all the returning starters from the teams they have played against. Mostly seniors and juniors, the same result will occur next year when their seniors graduate high school. Stiverson should actually should be commended for his coaching this year…if you actually look at how these kids have improved since last year.
People ripped you earlier (and perhaps rightfully)
So this should also be noted.
You’re comparing apples to record-sized pumpkins in mid-October with that first comment. Two entirely different levels.
Thank you for realizing you went overboard. Hang with the Braves, you’ll see this group continue to improve.
Always makes me chuckle when “local-yokels” make comments about people and programs that have a much greater duty than “winning” games. These are children- young men that need to learn the value of hard work, commitment, teamwork, selflessness, community, service, attitude, handling adversity, class, dependability, to name a few. Some guys do it the right way- demand these things, some don’t and put winning above all else. Coach S falls into the former- and still wins. Certain biologically attached individuals see what’s in front of them for about 4yrs and that’s it. This LE group is crazy talented- but what IF they don’t pan out- so much expectation on a group is unhealthy. So many “what if’s”- just let them be- let them grow- let the HOF do his job and respect his position- which is much more than a ball coach.
