Re: Fairland @ Portsmouth West

It was a classic... worst thang though... Fairland really puts a top notch YouTube broadcast on.. good commentary.. overall a really nice job. But ol west wouldn't allow em to broadcast. Turned it over to west media or something. And i get it if ya have some announcers...or any kind of production a...

What's so wild to me is all the "...outcoached.." and "..Ironton has the better talent..." and how ironton has been so far superior to kirtland or south range... or any top program (which ironton definitely is one). You guys are most def staring thru those orange colored glasses....

Re: Today's Athletes = Training vs. Durable

As an athlete (past tense lol) who has trained played and coached for many years.. I think that the early one sport specific training plays a big part..whereas us dinosaurs played whatever sport the season called for..along with pickup ball, tag, we rode bikes, etc.. our bodies became more well roun...

Re: Resurrection of the SVAC

I remember when the SVAC was a hotbed of great teams and there was no better place to be. In the midst of all that Oak Hill joined the league. Seemed like they had 100 players on their football team. The busses just kept rolling into the games filled with players. They had a dynasty for a few years...

No dog in the fight...have no idea what's goin on at Warren... but choices made have consequences.. an kids that leave a program don't "deserve" everyone's full support.. they don't deserve disrespect but this situation still (and will always) rub some people the wrong way.. and you can't...

Re: Best way for kids to get noticed? Recruiter? Coach? Luck?

All of the above... even a service can help, but finding a reputable one is key..and also the trick. That said, if a kid can play..they'll find him. Film, camps, presence on social media....are all big parts but the kid has to want it...be a stud, be self motivated hard workers, they have to have th...

Re: What's going on at Warren?

I don’t know anything about their coach but he was pushing the big three on Twitter trying to get them some college looks. Shame two of them are moving on I was high on them this year. Those kids will always have a lot of support where ever they go and what ever path they choose because of their ta...

...... No problem, I was in between going to cemeteries paying tribute to the fallen that gave us the freedoms we have on this Memorial Day, thanks. Re: What is the “Other” BIG NEWS coming from Ironton?

I had thought schedule was set. Wheelersburg, Jackson, Cabell, plus 7 OVC. Cabell would be a nice add, but not exactly big news. Not sure. Maybe playing a traditional state power like Kirtland, a MAC school, or something like that? If it is about Cabell Midland, that’s really not big news. Them add...

Lovely is a heck of a player. Seemed like he could have went for 50 if he wanted to And he kinda struggled early to score, which makes the 39 even more impressive. Gotta make somebody besides Lovely beat you, at least throw some gimmick at him to make him get rid of the ball. But, Lovely was able t...

Re: Minford vs northadams

North Adams is quick, scrappy, and can shoot very well at times. Copas is a top 5 guard for the area. Minford’s starting 5 is really good. Montgomery is probably the best Guard in the area currently. 5 out of their top 6 players have very good range shooting the ball. They’re long and athletic, and...

Agree, SE District reps have done a great job at adjusting to situations each year. I've seen it countless times. Props to them! I know they have.. wasn't hatin or complaining..jus thought that the optics of not adjusting for another situation was a little odd. Maybe the powers that be at palestine...
