It must have been an egregious error to have OHSAA step in, seems to be multiple ways to transfer "correctly" these days. What was the penalty Raider6309?

CBP works both ways for public or private as it should; enrollment count is adjusted for "out of district" students.

At the end of the day I imagine CBP will be much to do about nothing.

Obstacle?  Throwing a regular kitty cat in a Lions den would be an obstacle for him. A "no win" deadly one if a miracle wouldn't happen.  Bout the same thing year in year out with public schools playing De Sales. Yes, been some close calls and very few wins by public schools unless your a big Div 1, even then De Sales has been known to hang or beat them as well in regular season.

What a respectful way to refer to high schoolers.

Quit being a victim.

Katie Smith raised in Logan, played in the SEOAL, went on to college, WNBA, Olympics. Overcame obstacles associated with what was/is "Appalachia Ohio".

It is 16-18 year olds in public schools playing against 16-18 year olds in private schools. It is not like public schools play against 24 year olds from private schools.

Are you seriously telling me a graduate from Ohio University can't compete with a graduate from Harvard; if he/she from OU is willing to do what it takes to land that job?

Might want to get used to competing against kids with more "advantage"...because that is what is going to happen when you leave the bubble of mom and dad.

Just my opinion, could be wrong. I often am.

If you wanna go that route and use "Katie" as an example which is crazy, whole different story. De Sales in football has many "Katie's" just about every year. Cream of the crop. No victim here Abe, just telling it like it is. I hope Zanesville has a miracle tomorrow and over comes that "obstacle".

Zanesville is not like all other playoff-qualifying public schools in region 9, however. It may be most similar to Jackson, but I can assure you other problems such as what kids attending Beechcroft face are as crippling, if not more debilitating from an individual and population standpoint, compared to what too many who attend Zanesville face. Similarly, neither DeSales nor Watterson are the only schools filled with "Katie's" that made it to week 11 in region 9. Don't think there are a bunch of "Katie's" attending Bexley? Regardless of how they did vs Jackson, the institution of Bexley's school district and the financial barriers it entails (the cost of living in said district) and the trickle-down effect of having wealth serving as a barrier makes Bexley unlike many of their public school counterparts. Go ahead and remove the private schools. The SEO schools will still have to run up against a Bexley, a Grandview Heights, an Indian Hill, etc. Public school by domain, but entirely dissimilar from the Zanesville's of Ohio high school sports.

Don't know much about Zanesville this year, sounds like DeSales is pretty much loaded again. I'll go with DeSales by 12.

I should have stayed with my week 2 prediction, Zanesville is the best team in region 9. Thinking gets me in trouble

Watched the first half replay and DeSales could have been up 21/07 at the half. Z kept stopping them in the Red Zone.

Very surprising, but it tickles me. Good job Zanesville on the win. Couldn't be any happier for the Blue Devils and congrats.
