Another great season for the Lady Chiefs! Unfortunately ended sooner than everyone in Logan would've liked, but a lot of success for this senior class!

Let's hope it's good. And by good someone that is looking to stay and someone that knows how to put that pieces together.

I heard over the weekend that former Hall of Fame Coach Ralph Taylor was going to be recommended for the job tonight but that may have changed....?

It will be another out of towner and a one timer. Evidently nobody in the county is qualified. Says a lot for our school and community. And the crap continues.

Don't judge a book by it's cover!

This post has nothing to do with the new coach. This is about the old book which I have read cover to cover. Read the post.

I like the choice of a young coach with a solid basketball background! As far as the history of our program and qualified area candidates, I for one like the idea of a fresh face and he will bring an influx of new ideas. Hope he runs his own program , that the total program starting from grade school to high school! Teach his program.

As noreply said, Logan hires Jay Caldwell. He is a young guy and I'm sure has a lot of talent and great ideas. Won a D4 State Championship in high school where he was the Final 4 MVP and then played at Marietta College.

And none of that has anything to do with whether or not he can coach. Its an odd hire based on other candidates. Its my understanding the guy coached middle school just 2 seasons ago. I get the whole new guy, younger idea, but he's never coached before and Logan is a solid D1 program that they handed over to a guy that has never coached a minute at the varsity level. They had more qualified people. With that said I do wish the guy the best as I am a Logan guy and devoted supporter of their athletics. They have a lot of talent in the program and I hope he can make it work.
