Who attempted the field goal for Waverly that missed? Smith or Flanders?

Great game, great catch for the TD in OT, and awesome play for 2. Congrats to the tigers and hats off to burg, fought for 4 quarters that's what title games look like.

Burg not putting points on the board at the end of the first half was HUGE!!! Just 3 there and this game doesn’t go to OT.
Yeah, with burg getting the ball i thought for sure they'd take the 3. We don't know how it would've played out if they had but at the time I was surprised given they got ball 1st to start the half.

Feel like Waverly wouldn’t have been as conservative if they got behind. Seems like they had a lot of opportunities to put Burg away & would go 3 & out.

What a great game by two great teams. Both teams left it all on the field. Tigers celebrate tonight and tomorrow start preparing for your next game. Pirates put this game behind you and move on to the next. Both these teams will play deep into the playoffs.

No doubt in that that was by far the best game I have seen in years. Both sides fought through the whole game and glad it was a really clean game and no injuries

Go Tigers!

Great game by both teams.
Burg is very good as always.
Lattimore is a stud. He will play in college somewhere.
Burg played great pass defense, but that might have help Jaxon Poe run the ball as well as he did tonight.
Waverly defense played well against as good a runner as Lattimore is. Last year Waverly would have never stopped him.
I thought Burg would throw more than they did.
I thought Burg would go for 2 instead of the tie with 1:15 to go.
The pass interference against Burg in the endzone was soft and Waverly was able to take advantage.
Exciting finish, as good as I've seen in high school football.

Can't wait to see the stats.

Smith, Flanders was holding.
Very tough angle from the right hash. Offside on the Pirates would have given the Tigers the ball at the 1/2 yard line but Waverly declined and attempted the FG. 1/2 yard with Shanks under center and a big push would have been hard to stop.
OC made up for that call with the 2PT conversion call - that was masterful.
