He is a pretty good baseball and basketball player too. Good size and already 15 years old.

Does anybody know why Zane Trace is hosting Waverly on a Saturday night and not a Friday? It cannot be a travel issue.

It may have something to do with the work they have been doing at their facility.
Correct me if I'm worn but aren't they in the process of upgrading the football field?

Orange and Brown,
They may very well being doing some upgrading of their facility, I did not know that. That could be the reason this is ZT's first home game maybe by being "the only game in town" on Saturday they have a chance to "show off" what they have up there. I have not been up there for over a year so IDK what they have been doing.

Up there today watching some soccer and the field turf is sweet. The stands still look small but the field is one of the nicer turfs I've seen

How many kids are out this year? Heard numbers are around 40 kids.

I hope the Tigers have a strong offensive line this year

I believe the O-line has the potential to be strong. Won't be deep.

True smurray. I know they went a week or so ago to a clinic in Cleveland and were deemed the best line There, However; depth will be an issue.

Health is a key for teams with limited depth. I think our line is more than capable if the pieces are in place. But we aren't Columbus and Cincinnati schools that go 3 and 4 deep at every O-line position. Stay healthy we should be ok.

Not sure where that number came from. I'm hearing in the low to mid 50s for the high school team. Jr. High is right about 50...which is good.

Good showing for the Tigers today. A few miscues on Offense, but for the most part the offense did what they wanted. Defense looked good. Took a series for them to find their way, but they came on later in the game. I think 3 ints and a fumble rec.

A lot of kids were given the opportunity to play defense for Waverly. That's a good thing. We'll see who earns those positions.

I know Trace is down this year but they are still big and strong. That being said, Waverly offense did what they wanted and looked very good. I knew skill positions would be good, just didn't know about the line until today.
Defense will continue to define itself as kids step up/in.
An overall very good showing by the Tigers.
Portsmouth will be a totally different matchup next Friday as they will match the Tigers speed.
