Re: NCAA 2016-17 Fall Champs
For the first time in school history, the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks claimed the Men's NCAA D1 Cross Country title. Going into the championship, they were the unanimous #1 ranked team in the country and they showed why.
They claimed the men's title with a team score of 125. 23 points ahead of runner-up Stanford who scored 158.

Colorado entered the women's competition of the Women's NCAA D1 Cross Country championship as the clear-cut favorite. But, Oregon didn't want to hear any of that. The Ducks from Eugene won the national title by a single point over Michigan. Oregon scored 125, Michigan scored 126 and Colorado came in 3rd with 134.
This was Oregon's 4th title in program history, with previous wins coming in 1983, 1987 and 2012.

Re: NCAA 2016-17 Fall Champs
In a field where none of the top 4 seeds made the final 4 (Duke, Maryland, Syracuse, Penn State), anything could happen! And that happened in the D1 Field Hockey National Championship tournament. All 3 of those teams lost in the quarterfinal, with the exception of Penn State who lost in the first round.
The National Championship matchup was between Delaware and North Carolina. Ultimately, Delaware took home the National Championship, with a 3-2 win over the Tar Heels. This was of course, Delaware's first NCAA Championship in Field Hockey.
Throughout the tournament, they scored just enough to win. In the 1st Round they defeated Louisville 1-0. In the Quarterfinal they beat #1 Duke 3-2. In the Semifinal they beat Princeton 3-2. And in the Final they beat North Carolina 3-2.

In D3 men's soccer, the national championship game was a grudge match. Tufts played Calvin to a 0-0 tie after regulation, it was still 0-0 after the first overtime, and finally, Tufts scored a game winner in double overtime.

Re: NCAA 2016-17 Fall Champs
In the men's water polo national championship game, Cal trailed USC for 3 whole quarters, eventually tying up the game in the 4th quarter. Then comes overtime, where Cal took over, winning the championship, 11-8. This was the 14th national championship for Cal in men's water polo, and their first one since 2007!
They took a slightly different approach to getting here compared to USC (they qualified straight to the semifinal). Cal beat Pomona-Pitzer 16-6 in the play-in game to make it to the semifinal after they had a 20-4 record in the regular season. In the semifinal, they handed UCLA a 9-8 loss in OT in a grudge match.
