Most kids go to Saturday rehab clinics to get treated these days.
Championship's are won in the off-season

Schools can't afford that kind of money lolasb wrote:Does the school send them or is it just if they choose?Orange and Brown wrote:Most kids go to Saturday rehab clinics to get treated these days.

Unless something serious (suspected broken bones, knee injuries), most players are not going in to have injuries treated. They'll rest up on the weekend (not many teams are using a Saturday as a day to bring players in to watch film) and have them out running on Monday. Anyone with an injury will have their team trainer (most likely provided by SOMC) look at each player and access the damage. If the player needs medical attention he will then be scheduled with a doctor during the week.
It is important to know that if SOMC provides a trainer, he/she can get the athlete in to see the doctor much sooner than if a parent would call in. This makes what SOMC is doing so wonderful, not to mention the fee they charge each school, which is $0 to have a full time trainer on hand.

We have Ohio University provide trainers around these parts.js7_22 wrote:Unless something serious (suspected broken bones, knee injuries), most players are not going in to have injuries treated. That is always a huge help to schools. It's certainly a great opportunity for the trainers and a great way for schools to save money while providing care and supervision to injuries. Coaches are just not qualified to make those calls.Orange and Brown wrote:We have Ohio University provide trainers around these parts.js7_22 wrote:Unless something serious (suspected broken bones, knee injuries), most players are not going in to have injuries treated. Ohio University trainers are not free, schools are paying good money to support that program.
