You have a program that the coaches and players work harder then 95% of all others in the state. Win year in and year out-3 state championship runner ups under Coach Pendleton and still complain about everything that happens.
Stop, the expectation set at Ironton is to win state. It’s frustrating to watch teams with the talent they have come short because of coaching decisions, play calling, and terrible penalties. That’s why we’re frustrated. It comes with being a contender.

The problem is tho lookin fwd to the 2nd half is Ironton hasn't been able to sustain drives. And they can't get off the big outlandish runs vs prep that they lean on during the season against less athletic teams. They need to run the ball in the 2nd half. Playcalling is very erratic.

I was all for Schreck moving to QB at first, but we need to move Thacker back to QB and Schreck back to Receiver the 2nd half in this game.

Schreck at qb is the same as Wylie at qb when Ironton got eliminated by burg.

Asinine decision to make week 11 for a team that was already struggling with mistakes along the o line and no continuity at Center. Running game isn't great and they take away the qb with the better passing ability. Smh

Pendelton has helped turn the program around, mostly thru transfers or whatever, but he has really squandered some top AREA talent/teams. His play calling, his inability to get the penalties and turnovers under control will be the Tiger's demise.

Ironton has a bunch of really good athletic talent
But Irontons not a great team.

It’s Schreck’s team rest of this season, and next year as well.*
By name or by effectiveness?
Not sure…just what I was told by someone at Ironton who is usually right about these things.*

Still have a chance tonight. But this team isn't going to Canton.

Scheck isn't a qb. He's an athlete.
Just like Carpenter was the better qb and Wylie was an athlete.

Tonight irontons offense needed the qb. Just like they needed Carpenter instead of Wylie when burg eliminated Ironton early a cpl yrs ago.

NO OTHER CHOICE WHEN IHS had to use WyLie.
Much easier to defend for defenses, IMO.

In this game, IHS could float either QB in/out with about same success.

HP is a monstrous team in size & speed.

IHS starts game with a penalty too & have not answered on the ground game.

Go for it all-IHS!!!

Use EVERY weapon!!!

No holding back like previous games!!!

USE THEM ALL
HIDE NOTHING!!!

I agree. This team may be equivalent to Pendleton’s first team as far as talent goes. All the talk before season was this is Pendleton’s most talented team. Not even close. 2022, 2019, and 2020 were light years better and 2021 was more talented minus the 2 key injuries they had. Good team this year and I hope they come back in the seconds half, but this is about as far as I expected them to go.
