Sounds like a proven winner. Must be someone’s relative or someone a rich daddy wants.

Why ND has not made an official announcement - not sure, but not surprised.

I could go on with my own logic, reasoning and frustrations around the whole process from start to finish but I think it is better to try and move forward.
Always good when the strategy of “apply for every open coaching job you can find” eventually lands a guy a job.

Mr. 0-17. He’s due for a win.

Will he stick around long enough to coach an actual game there?

If not maybe Ashley will come back and rescue the program once again.

Nope, but hearing low roster numbers combined with injuries already a concern for ND before season even starts.*

Yeah but at least he played in the NFL. That worked great at Meigs. Should work here too.

Concerns initially based on what I could research. After speaking with and seeing the commitment all is good. Team did a lock-in style camp where the boys and staff were together for a full week. They have scrimmaged well the past 2 weeks. They scrimmaged last evening and are back for practice this morning at 7:30am.

Note: he does not speak of his Florida State or NFL days. That to me is telling. Many of us brag about our highschool days. Lol!

Does he speak about being 0- 17 as a head coach?

Nope no discussion about being 0 - 17 either.
You better go fill up your beer mug because it appears that it is half-empty. I will just drink the rest of mine because it is still half-full. Lol!

Not sure where everyone is getting this 0-17 number as a head coach from but Coach Davis was 2-6 at Mount Zion, GA (made playoffs) and they haven't won a game since he left. So I know he as least two wins! To be honest none of that even matters now, if you watch this team at all it is NIGHT and DAY difference over what they have had over the previous seasons. Yes numbers are down because he has come in and demanded the kids work hard and become men. So naturally that is going to "weed out" more than a few players. The conference title and playoffs are definitely realistic goals for this team and now we can sit back and enjoy THE SHOW!

Well I have to say 2-17 looks a lot better than 0-17. Just ask Jimmy Bell

I just hope Coach Douglass can get these guys some fighting spirit. Maybe he can show video of his fight with Mike Tyson ?

I don’t think ND needs
the unemployed person (person, not coach)to rescue them! Even if they go 1–9 it’s still better than 0-10!
