Good matchup for Vinton County- probably the best team to get a win against in the Region. East will have some speed so will have to be able to keep the run in check and watch the wide receivers and not let them get break loose. Most winnable game the Vikings could hope for but will have to play well.

Haven’t played anyone. Wouldn’t be surprised if 7 to 14 point game. VC got really lucky Salem didn’t beat west branch or would have had the privilege of going to regional champ Steubenville

I have watched both this season.
East twice and Vinton County once.
I have a nice interview coming up with the east QB to be posted soon.
My thoughts.
East has a big speed advantage while Vinton County is overall bigger and stronger.
For East: Tauzaun Burns will be the best skill player on the field in my opinion. The kid is a beast. He is slender and speedy.

The QB is smart and as dangerous as a runner as any QB that I have watched this season. He is good on the short to med passes with his strongest attribute being his decision-making. CJ Swanson when he is motivated can be a force on defense, who is a very good blocker on both sides of the ball.

VC has a beast Zeke Molihan, who will wear a defense down with his running style.
Owen Hire seems to have a knack for finding the ball carrier and the ball if it is on the ground near him.

For good places to eat near the stadium
TAT Ristorante Di Famiglia 11 minutes from the stadium
Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse 7 minutes from the stadium

VC has too many players hurt. They'll play their hearts out and pull out as many tricks as they can, but in the end I don't think it'll be that pretty. VC hadn't let anyone score more than 22 pts all season. That Stat will be put to the test by quarter 2 or 3. Just my honest opinion.

Vinton lost to Warren. Vinton isn’t that good.

Same way Logan competed with you.

Logan is a lot better this year still only scored 1 time and it was because of a turnover.

He played in the game I watched that is what I was basing my thoughts on.

From my understanding, that was also Warren's first game to have their running back return after a hiatus. This is also the game where Molihan was hurt so a lot of variables for that game that VC wasn't prepared for. VC is 2pts away from being 8-2 and 9pts away from being 9-1. That's the hump they've been trying to get over.

The best defense is a good offense, keep them on the sideline. Grind out clock, use your strength advantage. 3 yards and a trail of dust. Go get em vikes

Win or lose, this game will help VC in their journey to build the program. Any extra football is a good thing.
