They only played 3 quarters.

Re: Jamboree Scores
Portsmouth varsity 13-0 over Waverly varsity. Waverly offense has some work to do. QB position seems like it may be a problem for them. The speed of Portsmouth was a problem for the Tigers. Portsmouth scored on an end around and a pass play. Of course this was just a jamboree. Will know more next week.
Who Dey!
Re: Jamboree Scores
It looked really good! We only caught the first half. They stayed in a pistol look and lots of 4 wide. Was shocked to see arnett at qb but he looked good. Nickel looks to be a weapon at receiver.

Re: Jamboree Scores
I’m confused on why Unioto didn’t rotate running backs? At Logan Elm I thought #2 was running the ball well and I only saw him get on carry tonight and it was a touchdowndanicalifornia wrote: ↑Fri Aug 12, 2022 10:07 pm Miami Trace 17

Athens 7
Trimble 7
Athens was just going through the motions and didn’t show a whole lot. I think they will be fine when the meaningful games start next week.

That was a very impressive half of offensive football from Valley. I hope they stay healthy because that can be a fun squad to watch. They'll win some football games for sure.

Re: Jamboree Scores
I walked away pretty impressed with Portsmouth thought they done a nice job of handling the LOS. In terms of speed Portsmouth is going to have the advantage on most nights however let's not make the 2-Tds to be more than they were. The end around was 9 yards and he cut up inside where Waverly had LBs blitzing to middle was wide open, just right offensive play called at the right time and the TD pass was 12 yards fade in the end zone against a freshman who was in position but the WR gave him a bit of a push to create just enough space, coverage was good. I think Trojans biggest end around play probably went for 20 and hit a nice screen play that went down the sidelines for I'm guessing 25-30 yards maybe. Liked what I seen of Portsmouth didn't ask much of the QB, assuming they kept it pretty simple as they only called short plays, pick plays and quick screens. 100% agree with you on the Waverly offense they're going to have to develop quickly if they want to stay in games otherwise teams are going to stack the box. Had I believe 1 nice drive that first half was all for the Tigers. Waverly going to have to coach up the young QB, he's going to go through the growing pains but you simply can't stare down the side you're throwing to, might work in junior high and JV but not in varsity. Good luck to both teams each have a lot of work to do Portsmouth getting very silly penalties, had what 2-3 personal foul penalties in the 1st half alone they've got to keep quiet and just play the game.PTrojan59 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 12, 2022 9:52 pm Portsmouth varsity 13-0 over Waverly varsity. Re: Jamboree Scores
Took in the Valley and ND scrimmage last night. Valley was the more physical team last night. Several big offensive plays on offense. Defensively they swarmed to the football. ND struggled on both defense and offense. A lot of missed tackles in the open field along with some secondary issues. ND will have to get some things cleaned up if they want to compete for an SOC title. I think they will win the games they are supposed to win but will have to play much better to win games like SV, Berne Union, and Fisher Catholic.
