Word... hope he gets the respect that he deserves.. I've never seen a coach do more with less...and I understand that he resigned an wasn't let go but there was a gentle nudge by the all knowing mommy's and daddy's. So congratulations if you were on the never Davis team.. This will be looked back upon as one of the biggest losses in Chesapeake athletics history.
. Here’s the deal people. Many of these schools have No one on the board or in Administration who have kids in many of these programs. Thus, they give 2 sh@its who they hire. A few who do, usually are clueless. Going out and getting the best head coach or a successful assistant are generally gone. Sad. Good luck all 👍
That is a major problem in that part of the state. You have a daddy who never played, or even if he did he has no clue what it takes to make a good coach, and/or a mommy who only cares that Johnny gets to play and doesn't have to work very hard. If it were just a few it wouldn't be that big of a deal. But there are enough of them and they have the ear of the school board and/or admin. They run the quality coach out and hire a favorite who is sometimes a daddy as well. Then when Johnny graduates, or when someone else's Johnny doesn't get to start, the favored coach quits or gets ran off if he's actually any good. And yes, it's SAD.

Just with what has been said on here about Trey seeming to possibly not play college ball (nothing confirmed, just repeating what has been posted). Wonder if that leaves Travis in a position where he reconsiders and comes back? Could be something to watch maybe. But maybe not.

Doubting it unless Travis can convince Braylon to stay at Waverly because he's wanting to go elsewhere.

Of course that is a major factor as well.

Folks who follow your schools, I wish you luck. Many sad Scenarios At many schools just trying to put a coach and a program together.

Best of luck to coach Stewart going forward, does he look to return to Hillsboro?

Unless his article is BS, he is done coaching until he no longer feels "satisfied".

Was thinking maybe the Logan coach could be headed "home" since he has ties there and lives there. Could be interesting if certain dominoes began to fall.
