...as is the case for all of the in season "get togethers" like this one - I'm sure 1 ticket will take care of the days action while you will need a 2nd ticket on day #2 for THAT days games ... looks good for the opening year of the Clash! as more teams will NOW be able to schedule for THIS opening season tip off classic knowing that it is taking place annually.

Looking forward to this event and summer ball. I believe maybe Taylor and only one or two others played football last year so most of the roster should be available to participate. 3 starting spots will be up for the taking in the starting 5 but I'm assuming we won't know who those 3 will be till the season begins but I did think the Lupardus kid played very well on the JV team last year so I wouldn't be surprised to see him as a starter.

Probably just 2 starting spots up for grab (Cornell, Taylor and Stadelman) start IMO. I do agree with you on Lupardus I see him as a starter. Then you have 3-5 other sophomores to choose from.... June is here soon and so high school bball will be back for a month. Time for those sophomores to rise up and accept the challenge.Whs95fan wrote: ↑Fri May 20, 2022 5:28 pm Looking forward to this event and summer ball. I tend to agree with that, or could we possibly see Eddy start in his place? Either way I think we see at least 3 sophomore starters, don't think you can start Eddy and Cornell both.jcbigblue13 wrote: ↑Mon May 23, 2022 7:05 pmProbably just 2 starting spots up for grab (Cornell, Taylor and Stadelman) start IMO. I was hearing Eddy wasn't going to play...not 100% sure of that...just what I had heard...I hope he does, kids a good athlete and would contribute nicely

Yeah that would be a shame, either way, a young lineup.jcbigblue13 wrote: ↑Tue May 24, 2022 1:42 pm I was hearing Eddy wasn't going to play...not 100% sure of that...just what I had heard...I hope he does, kids a good athlete and would contribute nicely

Will this event have the potential to generate a capacity crowd? What's the seating limit here?
Re: Warren HS Clash at the Coliseum Tip Off Classic Nov. 25,26 2022!!!
Capacity crowd is unlikely first year of the event but should still be a great event with some good matchups. Still a little curious as to why Warren is playing Athens in it the second day when they play them every year but maybe that's just the way the schedule has to work this year. I know Warren is suppose to play Chesapeake in it on day 1, how will they look this year, do they have many starters back? Obviously tough anytime you lose your coach but it sounds like they got a home-run as a replacement. I believe the seating capacity is around 1200 but don't quote me.

It's probably hard to say this early, but who are the better teams in the Clash?
Re: Warren HS Clash at the Coliseum Tip Off Classic Nov. 25,26 2022!!!
Good question, I can't fully answer that because I'm not sure which teams have who coming back but maybe someone else can chime in. I know Fairland lost at least their best player and I believe Chesapeake did as well. The Fed Hock/Caldwell game should be a great matchup, I know Fed's transfer from last season, Crockwell was a senior I believe but I think they return quite a few other pieces. Caldwell has Bede Lori who averaged 30 a game but I know they graduated a lot too. Warren will get better as the season progresses but they will be very young with potentially just 2 upperclassmen on the roster in Cornell (Sr) and Taylor (Jr).

Thanks for the information. Interested if you or others know how Athens and Marietta are expected to do in this event and otherwise this coming season.
Re: Warren HS Clash at the Coliseum Tip Off Classic Nov. 25,26 2022!!!
Athens I can't speak on, but Marietta's best player from last year graduated but they return quite a few kids back. I was told they have a great freshman class coming in this season but obviously many won't see varsity time. Marietta has been down for quite awhile so they can't afford to miss on this coaching hire, hoping they find their guy.

Caldwell returns 4 of their top 6 players from last winter. They lost Jett Lori who was their three point specialist but probably hurt them more than he helped them last season. The Kowalsky kid gave them a big post presence but he missed the majority of the last month of the season injured. They return Bede Lori a 1st team all-Ohio kid, Tyce Devolld who transferred in last winter and was their second best player. They also have the two 6’4 will be sophomores who were outstanding for them last winter in Wheeldin and Herlan. They have several options from a really solid reserve team as well. Looking forward to watching all the games at Warren!Whs95fan wrote: ↑Fri May 27, 2022 10:58 amGood question, I can't fully answer that because I'm not sure which teams have who coming back but maybe someone else can chime in.
