Two words
Missed opportunity
Goodness. Let me start by saying, Jackson boys played hard as hell and always do. ALWAYS proud of their effort.

Bad fortunes...errant passes and tipped balls seemed to go their way a good bit more than ours. This wasn’t a hustle thing...just the way the ball bounces.
Missed free throws. Missed free throws. It hurts so much. Missed one on ones. I don’t think we made both all night, maybe Bragg did. Free throws absolutely hurt is, kept us from pulling into the lead and extending small leads. You have to make your free throws to win big games.
3 pointers...started 0-2 and missed last 13? 2/15? That’s not us.
Shots near the basket....missed so many. Tied 35-35 and missed a wide open layup to take the lead.
Overcoming....Tied up late and Bragg drives and gets around two players going in to the basket and last dribble Clary’s leg knocked him completely off line and no call....this play snd the missed wide open layup....we get those snd get the lead and in my mind, we win. Players didn’t step up and get it done. 1 or 2 or 5 things don’t determine the outcome. The refs didn’t decide the outcome, we didn’t hit shots. No other way to win or grab a lead other than making shots. Some looked timid on taking the big shots in the 4th. Those guys have been big in big situations all through the years....want to hit that shot!
Jackson was prepared. Morrow and staff had them perfectly prepared...players have to finish shots and make shots and they simply did not.
Missed opportunity!
Gallia Academy....you earned it. Congrats and good luck. They had a kid not score all night then hit both free throws with less than a minute. Gallia played hard as well. Clary is solid. I didn’t realize who he was. Always faced him at the Rio camp and played for South Gallia when he was younger. Always been a big strong kid....still is! Gallia played better and pulled it out. Take nothing from them. Good Luck against Unioto

Looks like Clary found a new sport at the foul line ice .
Re: Jackson vs Gallia Academy...District Semi 3/4
Yes, nailed his 2 there late....free throws and Gallia has the opportunity for a district championship.

I didn’t get to speak to him but saw Coach Osborne after the game on the court...that was good to see. He was big time.
Saw many many very elderly grandparents and older people from Gallia after the game....people I remember seeing from the olden SEOAL days of decades ago. Glad they are still well.

I would like to make a shout out to the folks at JHS Media, I watched the game on the live stream and thought it was very well done. Very nice work.
