Tournament Droughts

Post by WonderNova »

My Alma Mater and district of residence is Eastern Brown. I live straddling the Southeast/Southwest region line. I just saw a tweet that a school not to far away, East Clinton, won their first tournament game since 2004. This blows my mind! They are a DIII school. Are there any schools in the SE that have tournament futility streaks? Just curious.

I saw that same tweet! I was shocked by that, especially because they had a pretty decent player a couple of years ago.

Obviously, it’s very tough in the SW, but would’ve thought that they would have gotten a W at some point in there.

Jackson had only 1 trip to the districts from 1986-2018

New Lexington and Portsmouth West both haven’t advanced to the Districts since the 97-98 season

I think River Valley has only been there once in school history, but I don’t have a year for that.

I believe one of the Cambridge Ford’s was the coach of that district team. Maybe 2003 or 2004 ?

Correct on Portsmouth West. We haven’t made it to districts in our new schools yet
