At Memorial Field in Week 9, if it rains and the field is slop give me the Tigers. If we get a week of Indian summer still give me the Tigers lol but it will be a 4 quarter, 1 possession game.

About everyone has been looking ahead to this game all year. Both teams have there strengths, and each team has few weaknesses. I really believe that the team that plays the cleanest game, the fewest mistakes, minimal penalties, will probably win this game. Should be an overflow crowd and a great atmosphere. Lets hope that both teams have an injury free game.

This game is the ovc possible chip? If Gallia loses and Portsmouth beats Ironton it’s a tie. Will that happen who knows. Gallia and Ironton are very tough. Hard game to pick to me.

I’ll go Ironton 27-14 but could be a tough tough game.

Ironton's defense is as solid as you can get. Most points given up in a game was 16 in the loss to Ashland, only 49 total points given up and more than a few of those were against the Tiger's bench. The offense worries me though.

I think that Gallia has played someone in defeating Portsmouth. However, the combined record of their opponents is 21-40 a 34% win record

Ironton's opponents combined record are 30 - 34 47%

Was it a muddy field that kept you from coming to the last OBDTF Meeting?

That’s true but has ironton played a team that will actually pass? Run defense is outstanding but how will they fare against a more balanced team? That will tell whether or not they can take it to next level.

YOU'RE TIGER BAIT wrote: Sat Oct 19, 2019 7:12 am I agree, turn the ball over Friday against the blue boys. it'll be a long ride home. ironton is capabable of beating them. but not with all the silly penalties and turnovers. you just can't do that against an 8-0 team, especially a school that is considerably bigger than you enrollment wise. because they have more athletes to pool from, and you get better depth that way. after not scoring in the 1st quarter, and trailing 6-0. the fighting tigers went off and blowed a head gasket on the grovers. and I was glad it quieted down that one lady that must have been 3 feet from wiro's microphone last night on the coal grove side. cause I was about to turn the sound off and guess at the score. let's go hornettttttttttttttttttts was all I could hear in my sleep last night. gotta love the enthusiasm though. that's exactly what you do in fact need as fans. fans that show up, cheer their team on and give the team their undivided attention. that's what it is actually all about. I been known to make a lil noise at games myself I hear.
There isn't that big of a difference in enrollment between a D-5 and a D-4 school. But good luck to your Tigers.

I'm so mad at myself for missing it. Just forgot, that's all. Big turnout?
