Re: 2018/19 Jackson Ironmen
Be a good year for Jackson if the can get all the boys from Vc, Wellston and Jackson to play as a team---still say there will be trouble with the parents when it all goes down this year--hope not for the boys--but some things never change.
Re: 2018/19 Jackson Ironmen
you Said “hope not for the boys” But I’m sensing from your post that you would love more than anything to see them implode. I could be wrong I guess
Re: 2018/19 Jackson Ironmen
Yeah, he wants us to go winless and everyone knows it. Jackson has 1 transfer from Vinton Co that will be in our top 7 main rotation.
His “Wellston” kid has truly played basketball in Jackson every year since kindergarten. Also not a varsity rotation player but he’s from VC so he already knows that of course.
He needs to stay off of here with his pretend hope for Jackson and his made up parent troubles....which is ironic considering he doesn’t seem to approve of how Combs utilized his son.

I wonder what place he’ll be unhappy with next?Ironman92 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 24, 2018 11:47 amYeah, he wants us to go winless and everyone knows it. Jackson has 1 transfer from Vinton Co that will be in our top 7 main rotation.

Time will tell--the parents are ALWAYS right!! You will see. And I don't have any kids playing or never had. Just from what I have watched over the years--Jackson is not the only place where the parents become the problem. Let the kids be kids........ I just hate to see parents move their kids from school to school hoping for a better result---that's all.

No one moved for better basketball.vcgrad wrote: ↑Mon Nov 26, 2018 8:30 am Time will tell--the parents are ALWAYS right!! You will see. And I don't have any kids playing or never had. You know that there are three types of people in the world...statisticians, darn statisticians, and liars.

... now there are 4 types of people in the world hawkeye ! "NAPKIN STAT-isticians" !

Starting five as of Now is Caleb Wallis, Cooper Donaldson, Caden Donaldson, Nevan Yates, and Treylan Davis i believe.hawkeyepierce wrote: ↑Wed Nov 21, 2018 6:46 pm Come on I92. You are not being intellectually honest. They ran out a perfectly good coach in Heath McKinniss, and they have taken their swings at Max Morrow. Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of Max Morrow, I think he does a great job, but, if he hangs his hat on Yates, Bragg, and Spires, and they play more that what is perceptively allowed, that contingent of parents and meddling will get more tenacious. I too, have been watching this area's high school basketball for the past 39 years. Some things never change.

Not sure that is accurate. I heard Billy Hoyle was starting game 123tdb wrote: ↑Wed Nov 28, 2018 10:40 amStarting five as of Now is Caleb Wallis, Cooper Donaldson, Caden Donaldson, Nevan Yates, and Treylan Davis i believe.hawkeyepierce wrote: ↑Wed Nov 21, 2018 6:46 pm Come on I92. I know most moved because of football-----don't really see how they gained much. But some play other sports. Time will tell.

So who has moved in for basketball? That is what you were originally implying. Not sure who is not happy with coach morrow but hes doing a fine job. Always going to be the select few that will never be happy.

Billy Hoyle 6' Sr. he should contend for a starting position. Solid Shooter. Sid Deane 6'1" jr. he is more of a slasher, will probably come off the bench, both are solid basketball playerssportsdude wrote: ↑Fri Nov 30, 2018 8:56 am So who has moved in for basketball? King and Duck transferred out to Oak Hill, so cancels these additions for Jackson out.*Pete_Bell wrote: ↑Fri Nov 30, 2018 11:12 amBilly Hoyle 6' Sr. he should contend for a starting position. “Junior “ Came in with Sid, but he will more than likely be on the JV Roster this year.art_vandelay wrote: ↑Fri Nov 30, 2018 12:34 pmKing and Duck transferred out to Oak Hill, so cancels these additions for Jackson out.*Pete_Bell wrote: ↑Fri Nov 30, 2018 11:12 amBilly Hoyle 6' Sr. he should contend for a starting position.
