Once again, literally no reason that they couldn't be out by today at 3:30, but it is what it is.

Congrats to this entire Sectional on having outstanding seasons and good luck during preparations for the gauntlet at Logan.

It couldnt be out today. Board members have to meet, go over voting results, discard invalid entrees, break ties, etc ... a lot of those board members have games at their schools today & tonight. They only meet on sunday's.

Then let the coaches vote through tonight? And they have that many meals to where they get to pick and choose through their entrees? Dang, I need to get on the board then!!

Just looking at D2 and you have to go through 9 and 10 ballots...that should take 9 and 10 minutes, unless there is a tie...then it should take 10 and 11. You throw out any entry that is in alphabetical order and that's it.

D3 and D4 shouldn't take much longer. Without it being a super Sectional, it shouldn't take long at all. At least in every other District in the state, they have to go through more teams and still let the coaches place themselves. It isn't rocket science how every other District does it, just call one of them to get help...but our entire District Board wants to keep the tournament locations (which they still could do!) and won't change with the times. It's embarrassing.

Okay, Here is a question...Let's say Meigs beats Athens tonight...What is the likeliness that Meigs reports this game tonight and Athens doesn't?

Or also say Waterford beats Warren?

And while I hate the way our District organizes the tournament for the most part, I am extremely thankful that we have places like Waverly, Logan, and Jackson to watch early rounds and a place with as much history as The Convo to watch the primetime games.

With The Barn at the Fairgrounds being out, I believe that The Convo has to be the most historic building for HS basketball currently in use for tournament play in the state. It's a pleasure to go there every year and to listen to Lou on the call.

Doesn't matter. Voting ended last night at midnight.

Yes, I talked to the sheridan coaches before the game. They were there to scout both teams.

Saw 2 guys at the Athens/Meigs game tonight. One had a Sheridan ball cap on. The other with a fancy clipboard.

I guess since voting is in & things are decided, I can go ahead & post this ... Athens went (2-5) vs teams from the Logan sectional during the regular season. Ouch

But, all that matters now is that you go 1-0!

;)
