Your top 5 for the next Buckeyes basketball coach
In no order.
Randy Bennett-Saint Mary’s(West Coast Conference)
David Richman- North Dakota State(Summit League )
Greg Heiar-Assistant Coach Wichita State(Missouri Valley Conference)
Leon Rice-Boise State(Mountain West)
Pat Kelsey-Winthrop(Big South)
I went with coaches most fans are not familiar with.
My biggest reason is because I do not see Ohio State being able to get a prime time coach in, with the present shape of the basketball program.
I would not mind seeing Chris Jent get the job either.

Ohio State has all the money in the world to throw around, so they won't have a problem getting someone in.
IF they dump Matta, which is looking more and more likely every game, I'd like to see them grab Miller at Dayton.

I like you agreeing, that would really be a great hire if they decided to make a change!Raider6309 wrote:Miller from Dayton

My cousin actually went to high school with him. From Pennsylvania but it's only 15 minutes from Youngstown. So I would think OSU would be his dream jobChieftain2009 wrote:I like you agreeing, that would really be a great hire if they decided to make a change!Raider6309 wrote:Miller from Dayton

I thought I heard one time he was holding out for OSU. You have to believe he's had a ton of huge coaching offers after what he's done with Dayton.

If you was Matta would you want to continue . Team play looks like an AAU audition . Sad . He needs to recruit kids that buy into the program .

Recruiting has been a major concern since the Sullinger era. If they dont make a change after this season, the problems are going to be even harder for the next guy to fix.
OSU basketball has been mediocre. I dont see how the powers at be in administration, alumni and boosters will allow it to continue. Too much money at stake to be playing in the NIT every year.
