Congrats to the Lady Pirates, their families and the Wheelersburg community. One of the most fundamental teams I have seen in years. They make all the plays on defense and don't beat themselves. No holes in the lineup and a great middle of the lineup. You can tell this team didn't get good overnite. Many years of solid development. Teresa and her staff have also did a great job. Going to the freshman pitcher late in the game was a tough decision but it payed off.

Great job! It’s not so much that Southern Ohio had a state champion.They have had many in various sports through the years.To me,when a non private school wins its more special no matter where the school is.Congrats to The Burg!

Is this the same group that won the LLWS in Florida?

That crew was sophomores this year I believe? Maybe wrong.

Pitcher, 2nd baseman, right fielder and 3rd baseman were on that team plus another girl who would pitch run a lot!!

Also, that game was played in Oregon!!!
