Early on,as most expected,Clay(2-0) and ND(1-0)are very good and will probably be up front all season. SV(3-0) looks to be a player for league title race as well.Very impressed with the Vikings start.Green is solid with a win over NB already,also played Piketon tough. NB has a W over St.Joe. Eastern(0-4)has had a rough start with losing starting pitcher Lester to knee surgery,she's also a big bat In middle of lineup there missing Dixon also out with foot injury and the flu bug hit the team this week as well, Southworth has missed 2 games (flu)which is also a big bat out of lineup.tough start for the Eagles. East and Western both very young and will take there lumps but both have young talent to build on.

Kinda what would you expect from the Top 3. Speaks volumes to quality of the programs Clay, ND and SV have.
Green is surprising with 45+ his 5 through their first 3 games. Also doing it missing their Sr pitcher and freshmen shortstop. I do expect their hitting numbers to drop as they face better pitching.
Eastern is hurting without their pitcher and she's a great bat. Southworth being out has to of hurt them too. They will rebound as the season continues.

IMO there a 1A and and a 1B and the rest can be lumped together. There's a top 2 , JMHO .

We all know the top 3 in the league is Clay, ND, and SV. The rest will just beat up on each other and maybe one will be above .500 by the end of the season. Good luck to everyone.

Clay's first test will be tomorrow against Fairfield Union and Marietta in a double header. Don't know much about Marietta but Fairfield Union made it to state last year in Division 2 and lost to leGrange Keystone in State Semis 1-0. Keystone went on to win the state championship.

Couple of Nice wins for the Panthers. There gonna be hard to beat

Eastern swept Whiteoak in a DH.

SV got a W over Eastern Meigs and dropped one to Point Pleasant.

East swept West Union in a DH.

ND swept North Adams (DH).

The league has really shaken out just as we expected so far with ND and Clay at the top. SV is in 4th right now because they have already lost to ND twice but they will have an impressive resume come tourney time. I tend to think they will end up in 3rd place after next week and a few of the teams play some more league games and better teams. The rest of the league will continue to work and get better to build their programs. It will be interesting to see the Green-Eastern games so see how those shake out. Great season so far for SOC1 and look forward to seeing some great games in the upcoming days and weeks. Hopefully, New Boston, East, and Western work to get better and get a few W's before the season ends.

First ND - SV was 3-2 , never saw a score of the second game , anyone have it ?

I seen somewhere that Kingery for SV didn't pitch that game. Anyone know who pitched?

The Notre Dame and Clay match ups will come down to one thing...can Notre Dame pitching win over Clay's offense. I think Clay's pitching will be able to handle Notre Dame's offense enough to hold the scoring down. Against two good pitchers in Kingrey at SV and Moore at Ironton they scored 4 runs total in those two games.

Clay's starting 9 is solid offensively through the lineup. Schaffer is one of the top pitchers in the area. It will be great to watch them battle throughout the game.

I get what you are saying, the left hander from symmes left the first game early vs ND, I think they scored all 3 runs on her and had trouble with the second pitcher,then when they played the 2nd game they hit her hard, as for the girl from Ironton I dont believe many teams that will score a lot on her, she is impressive. I look for both Clay and ND games to be pretty low scoring, cant wait to watch them.
