I have caught five or six Lakewood games this season and can say it all starts with their D-1 college pitcher. The girl is AWESOME.

On offense the Lancers have good power and really good team speed.

Sounds like Burg will need to play their "A" game in this one, but anything can happen.

What time does this game start today?

Good luck Lady Pirates. Be nice to join the boys in the final four.

Congrats to the Lady Pirates on another fine season. Undefeated in the conference for the 2nd year in a row and a berth in the regional finals in a very fine accomplishment. It sounds like they battled all day, but Lakewood was just to tough.

Great job by the Lady Pirates and the coaching staff! All of Wheelersburg is very proud of each and every one of you!

The girl who got two homers off of the lakewood pitcher has to be a great hitter.

Congrats to the Pirates on another fine, fine season.

Jessica Blanton is a great kid and she is a pretty good hitter too. Brooke Baker is (by the numbers) a better home run hitter but JB has done very well--especially this year.

A great group of girls! I am going to miss the seniors but I am already looking forward to next year. The seniors are so talented they can not be replaced. But it is always exciting to see new talent step in and there was lots of talent on the bench this year. I think they will re-form a team and put forth a competitive effort once more.

Jessica, Brooke and Chelsea--you will be missed. Good luck in your endeavors!
