Clay beat the number 3 ranked (AP) team in the state TWICE, has faced some pretty darned good pitching along the way, didn't shy away from playing some of the bigger schools in the area, and can hit with the best of 'em, so I'm confident they can hang with Strasburg. Both schools have a long and storied tradition to uphold. It just comes down to WHO WANTS IT MORE? Let's GO Panthers!!! Beat Strasburg!!!

The Panthers couldn't lay off the rising fast ball and paid the price--a one hit shutout with the lone hit being a bunt single by Emily Spriggs. There was lots of griping about home plate blue but the fact is, Strasburg made the most of numerous Clay miscues and won the game fair and square. That was a heckuva pitching performance by the Strasburg pitcher. She worked fast in the early going and kept Clay off balance at the plate all day long. Lindsey Mader pitched a great ballgame as well for Clay, scattering a few base hits, but unearned runs off of errors were the order of the day. Clay has a lot of work to do in that regard in the off-season, but with 8 starters returning the future is blindingly bright for the Lady Panthers.

Congratulations on a fine season Lady Panthers! Very few would have guessed that you would have had the success you've had this year. And a special shout out to Tori Osborne on her last game as a Panther. Great job, Tori.

You are all a great bunch of girls and great competitors! :aaaaa41

See you next year, Strasburg. :aaaaa92

Great Season Lady Panthers!!!
Hung in there with the best team in D-4, down only 2-0 after 5 inn. Then the wheels kinda fell off with some mistakes ,but thats O.K., you never gave up. Mader pitched a great game, using mostly screwballs and change up's. Screwball was really breaking, and Lyndsey and her defense held them off for as long as they could. Panther's played with all heart and never seemed to be intimidated at all. Gerber is one heck of a pitcher,16 K's, best we have faced all year, matter of fact probably one of the best high school pitchers I've ever seen.
I'm very proud of all of these young ladies.

Looking forward to next year
Go Panthers!!!
