Could have been, I didn't see a bus, maybe inner squad? Valley scrimmages Whiteoak at home tonight.

Zane Trace scrimmaged Whiteoak last week. I think it was 7-2 ZT when they stopped. Whiteoak is a very good D4 team.
Zane Trace has Jackson Wednesday and Miami Trace Thursday. The opener is on Saturday against Cedarville.

I imagine each pitched 3-4 pitchers

Not sure. Probably. Valley travels to unioto tomorrow to face their stud soph. So I’m sure valley didn’t let their guys throw too many pitches.

Valley threw 4 pitchers tonight vs White Oak but I highly doubt any of them will throw vs Unioto. It's much too early to throw a kid back to back nights.

The 1st two pitchers for Valley worked to the 6th, allowing only an unearned run.

White Oak pitched 3 kids: 4 ip, 2 ip, and 1 ip.

Did Nickel and Arnett throw?

Valley (D III for 2023) and Whiteoak (D IV for 2023) looked very good tonight for this early in the year. The first 7 innings were played very clean and quick, in less than 2 hours. Whiteoak looked solid and with Valley returning 7 starters they looked right on track. Valley looks like they have some underclassmen that will contribute big and I expect both these teams will have great seasons.

I enjoyed getting to watch some baseball tonight. The weather was great and the baseball was good. As the post above pointed out, both Valley and White Oak looked good. The Whiteoak catcher and SS are good players. Valley looked really solid again. Nickel threw first and Rideout was after him and Arnett played SS most of the night. Valley did have some young guys make plays and look ready to help. Enjoyably night at the park all around.
