Mattingly V-Grip baseball bats?

I am looking for first hand info on these bats. If you have used one or have any personal knowledge, I am interested. Not sure if it matters, but I am looking to get one for my 7 year old.

Probably the best bat you can get for him at this age. Getting used to having the knocking knuckles lined up is key for young hitters, and this bat does just that. So great choice, imo. Just make sure it's a good size and weight for him, that's the biggest thing. He may be a little young for this, but have him try to hold the bat with his arm straight out perpendicular to his body. If he can hold it up for around 15-20 seconds then it's a good weight, if not, then just find a lighter one.
