Athens won 12-10 at Waterford. (Athens started game 10-0 end 1)

Athens is 10-5 overall and 7-1 in the TVC, THey travel to Meigs on Monday to face the TVC leaders in a huge game that will determine the TVC-Ohio finish. Bulldogs have a bad loss to Logan which they play again in a couple of weeks and have a loss to Warren which the defence let that game slip away.
Bulldogs currently lead the state in HR with 9 according to the stats reported to Maxpreps.

Logan has one pitcher that is respectable (in that he can keep batters off-balance) -- and that's who they dealt against Athens. Their lead-off hitter is one of the best players in Southeast Ohio, IMO.

Athens-Meigs should be a great game. Meigs' pitching has been really stout in big games, so far.

Athens is preparing to face Stewart again, in the first game, he threw a no hitter while recording 17K. He only walked one in 22 batters he face. It would have been a perfect game if it wasn't for that walk. The loss ended Athens long winning streak at 38-2 in a 40 game stretch in the TVC. If Meigs wins on Monday, they would most like win an outright TVC title ending Athens 4 year run on top of the league.

What most likely will be a tie for the league championship, both games between Athens & Meigs included two no hitters. One each by the opposing team on the others home field. Go figure.

Athens will host Logan for senior night on Friday. First pitch is at 5:30pm.

This will also serve as the annual Sandlot night.
