Remember, Saturday DH vs. Belpre/Mtta. at Beverly, 1:00 start.
Should be a dandy, most players from both teams know one another...

nice write up about Mr. Brockmeier in the marietta times today.

http://www.mariettatimes.com/page/conte ... l?nav=5025

He along with my son will be attending Marietta and playing baseball for coach Brewer and the Etta Express. Both will also be playing this weekend in Chillicothe in the Mizuno All-Ohio Games. Quite a recruiting class for Coach Brewer landing 3 All SE District 1st team players and also 2 Mizuno All-Ohio selections in Brockmeier, Hopper (Wheelersburg) and Cline (Athens).

Congrats to Evan, he is a fierce competitor and a quality young man. Very deserving of these honors.

Buldog, I've had the chance to watch your son play some the past week, looks like MC is getting a great ball player. I've also watched Cline play many times, another highly talented kid.

Cap'n and bengalfan... Thank you for the nice comments. :-D He has worked very hard to get to the level he is today. He is extremely honored to continue to play this great game of baseball at the next level. Can't wait to see him in the blue pinstripes and at Don Schaly Stadium in Marietta. I just realized that he was a Pirate and now will be a Pioneer.

A'ha, another puck fan.
Been a Red Wings fan since Dad bought me a team shirt when I was about twelve... when hockey wasn't cool.

And, most will say that it still isn't...

B/L 10 Logan 2. What a miserable field to play on. Glad that is the last time my son will play there. St Clairesville today for one 9 inning game.
