That's good. I hope the Warriors can push this mess to the side and get down to ball as soon as their coach gets into place.

Best of luck, boys.

A candidate was supposed to have a second interview/be offered the job today. Not sure if that happened due to the weather.

Conditioning practices have started and still no word on a coach. Warren needs to get this figured out soon. It would be nice to get back to the 20 win plateau again.

The candidate had the second interview but don't know what came of it. I agree, something needs to be done now. You have kids trying to figure out their futures and no coach to push the buttons to get them a look.

Whoever the "unofficial" coach is, does anybody have any information about him? Does he have a good track record?

Hopfully the admimistration will hire someone worthy of the position, Head Coach,... and continue the winning tradition that Jeff Bradford brought to Warren! I hope they just don't fill the postion with anybody. Good Luck Warriors and Keep up your winning ways. GO BLUE!!!!!!

Warren has a great new coach in place. I will not give out his name yet though. He has been an assistant at a local high school with a solid baseball program. Some of the kids that have played for him have contacted a few Warriors and told them we are getting a great coach. He will also be in the school system as a sub for now. I believe he is going to introduce himself to the team at conditioning this weekend.

This is the link to the article about Warren's new coach, former Williamstown assistant Jeff Bayles. He was introduced to the team and parents on Sunday.

Bayles is a pretty straight forward guy, played ball at MC if memory serves.
He should be able to continue some of the success the program has had over recent seasons.

Good luck to him.

Warren has about 12 seniors participating in conditioning, only one has played high level summer ball but there are a lot of good ball players in this group. There is only one junior that will help the varsity but a lot of sophomores and freshmen attending workouts. Coach Bayles is finishing up some basketball coaching obligations this week but will be 100% committed to baseball next week. The kids (and fans) need to remember that this is not Jeff Bradford's team anymore and Coach Bayles has his own philosophy and must buy into his program to be successful.

Warren's biggest challenge this season will be it's brutal schedule! 3 games with a loaded Zanesville squad, 3 with a solid rival Marietta, 3 with logan which is also under new leadership, 2 with a very well coached Gallia team and 2 with an Athens club that has vastly improved in the last couple of years. Rival Belpre is scheduled for 2. Throw in 2 against WV AA power Magnolia and 2 each with WV AAA schools Parkersburg and Parkersburg South. Also a DOC game and you have 22 very tough games. The remaining games are a toss up on how tough the competition will be. The inexperienced Warriors need to play solid baseball to survive this kind of schedule. This team will not overpower teams like WHS has in the past. It will be fundamental baseball and good pitching that wins this year. It could be a very exciting season.

Goodluck to Coach Bayles and his staff.

Seems as though someone thought it would be fun to ride around in a truck on the baseball field last night.

It will be very interesting how Coach Bayles plays the hand he has been dealt. Not sure where he will position the players, but Warren will be solid in the field. Good pitching is a must because I don't see the Warriors scoring a lot of runs.

I heard last night that Tyler Wynn (who red-shirted last year) hit a homerun in his first collegiate at-bat for Cleveland State. Way to go Wynnie!

Don't doubt his ability a bit, he was a big time player and leader on a very talented Beverly-Lowell Legion team.
Best wishes for a suscessful career in college, and beyond Tyler.
An outstand young man!!!!

Warren had 27 kids working out today. 9 seniors, 2 juniors and the rest were freshman and sophomores. Coach Bayles is really stressing the fundamentals and the team already looks solid defensively. The freshman group has some solid prospects. Look for a great season at both the JV and Varsity levels.

the full roster of the varsity and jv teams will be posted monday at school. the athletes at warren are nothing less than outstanding. With the schedule and senior leadership at warren there is no reason they cant run the table. This should be a exciting year for the warren warriors with the new head coach Jeff Bayles

come and watch the games!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :122249
