Forgot to add that Derek pitched a perfect game last year as a Freshman pitching for the JV team. I believe it was the first one ever pitched for the Pirates at the JV or varsity level.

With him, Luster and Parsley, looks like the Burg staff should be okay. Won't be as strong as last years staff, but they will still be pretty darn good.

Looks like the Burg has started out fast out of the gate again with big wins over Greenup Co, West and Valley. Looks to be another banner year for the Burg baseball team.

Good luck Pirates on the season.
Yabba... Don't think Parsley pitches much. Boyer would be part of the top 3 in the rotation. Add to it Brett Hood and Shears when needed.

Great to the jv's get a game in. i guess the waters receded from where they were earlier in the week for the varsity game. probably rained a lot harder on the west side of the county than the east side.

Will someone please explain why Darrin Porter took down the batting cages inside the garage, now if it rains the boys have no place to hit. We still have two weeks, plus tournment it would be nice to have some place to go if it rains. I bet they wouldn't take down the baskets in the gym or the goal posts on the football field midway thru the season. Just another slap in the face to the baseball program. Our admin. has walked all over coach Estep for years now, it is time to start standing up to them. They do nothing but give him a hard time over everything he tries to do. I will say this about Mike Estep he is a family man first, a teacher second, and a coach third in that order.

Happens everywhere. Ask around. It is not coach Estep it is the lack of respect for spring sports period.

It may somewhere in this thread, but who did Wheelersburg lose to? I haven't followed baseball much this spring and the last time I looked they were 12-0 or 13-0.
