Minford heads to Florida

Monday morning the Minford baseball team will be on a flight heading to Florida. Looks like they picked a good week to go, as we are expected to get some snow from what i have heard. I will be posting as much info as i can. Have a safe trip Falcons!

The Falcons arrived in Orlando yesterday then traveled to Cocoa Beach arriving safely. The weather was nice and they went swimming in the ocean, which my brother made a point of telling me. They played St.Johns High School today, I dont know much details but I know they won. I'm going to call my brother and get some details on the game and who they play tomorrow.

The boys raised all the money by doing fund raisers for the past four years. Yes, they will miss this current week of school but they all received their homework early. I believe the coaches are making the players do some of their work while they are down there.

Minford played the St. Andrews Saints from Savannah, GA yesterday. Justin Miller pitched a no-hitter and was 1 walk short of a perfect game as Minford won 10-0. Minford's defense continues to shine and the offense, while being aided by some errors by St. Andrews, made things happen by being aggressive at the plate and on the base paths. Great job by the Falcons.

The Minford baseball team wrapped play yesterday with a loss. They went 1-2 on their trip, but had a great time and was a very good learning experience. Let's hope they have a safe trip back to good ol O-H-I-O

One would think that is a long trip to make for 3 games. Too bad they didnt have 5+ Games scheduled.
