Read an article on Rosecrans-Hiland game. Rosecrans won 1-0 in the second OT breaking a nine year District title streak for Hiland.
Rosecrans goalie had 22 saves and Berlin Hiland missed some wide open shots in OT the article said.

I think the Burg can hang with Rosecrans. If their defense shows up this will be a great game. GO PIRATES!

I think the Pirates are 0-3 against them all time. In the words of Eddie Deemer, we'll see if the pirates can,"raise the Jolly Roger" and make something happen today. Hoping to see an SOC rematch next week.

It was not a pretty game. With only a few minutes to go Zane Trace had a player hip toss a Webster player. It got pretty hairy on the field with the coaches having to go onto the field and the scene was about the same in the stands. The player from Zane Trace walked away with a Yellow Card and 2 players from Webster walked away with a Yellow Card during the scuffle. I think one parent was escorted out, but the sheriff should have took the other few right along with him.

Zane Trace did end with the 2-1 win

Glad to hear young Webster team didn't take dirty tackle like chumps and stuck up for their teammate. Great season for Jeeps, and should advance even farther next couple of seasons.*

I heard the acting classes paid off once again for Webster as their front line have learned if you dive enough in the box...you will eventually get your free goal!!! Let's try earning one the old fashioned way and play straight up.

The SW ZT game was a good soccer game. It was played hard and physical, but overall a clean game. The scuffle mentioned was due to a foul by ZT and then players got up and started pushing. I think the kids would have been fine, but the fans didn't really help to diffuse the situation and the coaches did go on the field to make sure nothing else happened. All said and done 3 yellow cards were given. This foul from ZT looked bad and the yellow was deserved. The 2 SW players got the yellow for pushing and they deserved it too. My biggest frustration was with the fans. ZT had one guy that kept yelling and putting our players down. Every foul was a flop in his opinion and the refs couldn't call good enough in his opinion either. I've heard lots of fans over the years, but this guy tops them all. It makes you wonder why a guy like that was blessed with such a strong voice.

As for the Pk, the ZT defenders play well, but they also go up for headers with forearms out. You can't do that in the box in front of the goal and expect a no call when you arm is in the back of your opponents. I usually ask the players about pk calls and they said this one was legit. SW had their best opportunities off of the long throws of #14.

The first half SW was able to keep #5 from scoring and played with ZT fairly well. In the 2nd half I think they ran out of gas and couldn't transition out of defense to move the ball up the field. They defended well, but eventually #5 was able to break through with speed and precision shooting for both goals. ZT was the better team we wish them luck next week.

SW loses 4 seniors. They started 6 sophomores 1 Junior and 4 seniors all season. They should have a good freshman class coming in for next season to help.

The final score was 2-1
Zimmerman for SW, and Hutton had both for ZT

Refs were calling a tight game. The Jeeps picked up on this in the first 5 minutes but ZT never did. SW playing in the SOC knows that depending on what officials are reffing, you may have to change your physical level of play. Especially in the box.

As far as the crazy ZT fan... He was sitting about 20 ft to my left. He was a big, fat, bald guy who looked remarkably like Uncle Fester from the Addams Family. He was wearing sun glasses... at night which concerned me. I think he was definitely trying to hide stoned or drunk eyes. At first he wasn't too bad, just your typical dumber than a hammer no soccer knowledge dad. As the game went on that's when he was letting the racist and anti-gay remarks fly which is VERY uncalled for. I guess that just explains the shaved head. Complete IDIOT.

Good luck to the Pioneers in regionals, and great season to the Jeeps.

Webster was ridiculous this year for flops. Classic SW teams used to be physical and very tough. Current SW teams still very good/skilled but unfortunately very feeble and frail. Luckily, their academy award winner is a senior so this may help in the future.
That's probably why JazzHandles brother from another mother was so upset and yelling. Although I do not condone his ridic behavior.

Jeeps- in the offseason please hit the weight room and knock out some squats. This may help you stay on your feet.

Well just so you know redcard that senior your talking of has 4 (of the 12) SOC trophies in the case ,so coach Claxon must be doing somthing rite out there in the corn field.
If I recall ZT are still trying to forget Rio night mare Jeeps gave them coming from the JV slot and going home with all the marbles.
So Great season Jeeps keep up the good work and keep winning, you showed you could take it to the bigger schools and play them and you didn't have to play down to win.

Roberts had better build more trophy cases cause the Jeep are here to stay!!!!!!

Sadly, the SOCI title really isn't that hard to acheive and SW pretty much has a lock on it each year. I am not sure what the answer is to fix that situation. Northwest, Minford and Waverly are all D2 and would not want to be in the smaller division for soccer. Burg typically is right in the mix for the SOCII title each year and would not want to be moved down either. The only potential solutions I see are:
1. Swap West and SW divisions in the SOC
2. Make the SOC a single division for soccer and each team only plays all of the other teams once in league play. A single SOC division would make each team playing 8 league games, but again this would not be seen as desirable for the D2 teams because they would prefer to play more games against fellow D2 schools.

4NG has a point. SW should move up because several of those 12 SOC titles were double crowns. (double crown meaning they won both SOCs, for example this year). The Jeeps are one of the best teams in both SOCs if not the best. Keep up the good work Jeeps, can't wait to see what the Nasty Boyz aka The Bash Brothers aka Starsky and Hutch aka Rat and Tat will do in the years to come.

I do not think SW will move up, although I believe they have requested it at least once or twice. A single division would be more likely to happen, but I am sure some schools would be against that as well.
