Sw 13-0-1 vs Burg 12-0-2 Soc championship

Post by Lovehoops4 »

And next Tuesday the jeeps will travel down 140 and play the burg at ed miller stadium for a soc championship thoughts predictions get this feed rolling. Give me the jeeps to win there first soc in the big division 2-1 it will be tough for the jeeps to do it after there goalie is out for the year with a sinus fracture that took place Thursday vs Alexander he went to the hospital after the game and got discovered with a brain bleed but the bleed has stopped last night and was sent home prayers for him and his family. The players to watch hunter barnard who has 36 goals on the year and 7 assist and his support crew brycin mcclintic who has 16 goals and 3 assist and carson corriell who has 15 goals and 12 assist. For the burg the main man Nick Syliva who has 28 goals and 6 assist on the year and his supporting crew Evan Mitchell the transfer from northwest who has 12 goals and 9 assist and kayson whitt 6 goals and 5 assist. Defense was the name of the game last time these two teams faced off were the jeeps had 6 opportunity in the first 10 minutes were hunter scored a goal to make the score 1-0 but on the kickoff after the goal Nick Syliva scores a goal from half to make the score 1-1 were it remained the rest of the game the stats from that game were 14 shots for sw 8 on goal and 10 for the burg and 5 on goal, 4 saves for Samuel Murphy and 7 saved for breyden Byrd 6 shots on goal should be a fun one at the ed miller starting at 7:00.

It's going to be a Thriller at Ed Miller! Not sure who the conditions will favor just yet. If the Jeeps come out and play to their full potential, I see them winning. But anything can happen at Burg.

4-1 3:34 to go Jeeps down. Burgs goalie with an absolutely one of the dirtiest things I’ve seen he tackles hunter barnard and only gets a yellow card someone could have got hurt and that was uncalled for

4-1 final Burg wins in nasty win Burg played dirty. Also Webster did good considering they had a backup freshman goalie, but he did good for his first game

I wouldn’t say burg played dirty, but the foul on Barnard was pretty bad. One play can’t define a match IMO. My opinion, if you red card the Webster player for the push afterwards, you probably should red card the keeper for the hard foul in the box. (In my opinion, it’s a straight red for that foul, in the box) Credit to Burg GK for the nice flop and rolling on the ground after the very weak push.

Webster still can’t win the big division since changing over from SOC1 like 7 or 8 years ago? I think they are in trouble with this young keeper in goal and now missing a key starter for a few games due to the Red card.

Wheelersburg has gotten better as the seasons went on. Their staff has made changes in the lineup, moved players around, and their go to guys show up in big games. Credit to the players and staff. They won’t be in another competitive match until the regionals.

Hats off to burg. They outplayed the Jeeps. I thought the freshman GK for SW did a great job last night and had some big saves throughout the game. Sometimes the ball can slip through your hands under wet conditions which resulted in one goal. In regard to the foul/pk where the cards came out. It was my opinion, as well as the other 3 officials who were spectators last night that the hard foul on Barnard was a red card offense. No ball, goal scoring opportunity, and he got completely wiped out. It looked even worse on video. The shove was much weaker than the foul. The right call was either yellow for both, or red for both. One of each just simply doesn't make sense. But I'll remind myself, don't hate the player, hate the game. Good luck to both teams as they finish regular season and start post season. I think they will both represent the SOC and the SE with deep tournament runs.
