Alexander wins their first ever girls tournament game with a 3-2 win over North Adams. Abby Yazdani nailed a 35 yard free kick with 7 minutes remaining to seal the W. Spartans will face #1 seed and only twice beaten Clay in the sectionals finals on Saturday at 1pm

Due to ACT testing, Minford and Peebles will start at 4pm instead of 1pm at Minford on Saturday.

The Spartans will be playing Lynchburg Clay. Not to confuse anyone but Portsmouth Clay does not have a girls team. Good Luck to Alexander!

I have no clue on who either of these two play next. It would make sense of them to play to decide the district champion, but who knows how the OHSAA will do this.

Lynchburg Clay will play 11-6-1 Zanesville West Muskingum at West Muskingum High School on Saturday October 29th at 12:00.

Chillicothe Zane Trace meets 13-3-0 Coshocton that same day and site at 2:00.

Jaruwannakorn scored the tying goal with just over 3 min left. Fry hit the game winner about five min into OT.

Eh, not really. They stomped Warren twice during the season and barely escaped last night. But, they are well coached and with Unioto being a big rival, I think they will come out a bit more prepared and fired up than the previous meeting. It would be nice if this was a noon start just to get an awake crowd.

On the positive, West Holmes def. River View 1-0 last night.
