I would like to comment.
I know this is a heated topic mayne in the world of high school soccer. but when an all guys team plays a co-ed team, and you put girls on the back line, the guys are afraid to actually play, especially when the others fan are yelling everytime they touch a girl. It could have been 5-1. easily.

I think they are a little intimidated. It happened in a scrimmage at Waverly a couple years ago to my son until she dumped him on his backside. Then the game was on no longer mattered. They just have to learn to play them the same as guys. (We ahd some fun with him on the way home not much mercy in our family)

The Northwest girls play as hard and as skilled as the guys. They play all of every game for a reason - they earned their spots. These girls have to work harder to keep up with guys that are stronger, faster, and bigger than they are. Not every school has the luxury of both a girls and a guys team. Those girls that love the game have no choice but to play for a boys team. From what I saw at the game the girls were winning the ball and taking it from the Leesburg guys on more than one occasion. I don't think the Leesburg guys were taking it easy because there were girls on the field, especially since the back line gal was rolled more than once during this game and the midfield guys didn't just let that gal have the ball, she took it from them. There were only two girls on the field the first half and three the second half, all seniors who deserved to play in this game. This means that there were eight and nine guys on the field at all times. If Leesburg could have scored 5 goals, they should have - this was a tournament game and not a time to hold back. Northwest played better and better as this game went on and after they scored I believe Leesburg was a little rattled, just trying to maintain the one goal lead. Given the circumstances of this game (time change, weather, officiating) both teams played hard and put it all on the field.

fhs_shl11 the score could not have been easily 5-1. You loose credibility by making a statement like that.
Just as I said in my previous post it was a hard fought game against two teams that were pretty evenly matched even with three girls on our field at once.
Since you quoted me at no point did I knock your team. Based on the fact that boys were sitting on the NW bench is evident that those girls earned their playing time.
I think some of the SOC teams would tell you that these girls are tough competitors. Nobody in the SOC took it easy on them this year.
Goodluck SOC teams tonight!
