We have over 3 inches of snow now and it's not even midnight. Supposed to snow all night. If anyone knows if games will be played or cancelled Saturday, please post! Thanks

Not one school in Southeastern Ohio would have school with this much snow but then they will run all over to play an almighty basketball game. Just goes to show where the priorities are. The definition of a school in Southern Ohio is a place for the kids to stay in out of the weather until it is time for the GAME and in real bad weather they have to stay home until game time.

There is a big difference between going to school and playing a basketball game in bad weather.

Playing a game requires 10-13 kids driving or getting a ride to their school and a bus driving on clear main roads to another school.

Having school requires buses to drive on bad side roads picking up 200-300 kids, BIG DIFFERENCE!!!

(a) You are right SuperSiders ... GIGANTIC DIFFERENCE ... school includes so much more, including small children at the elementary level, all the people who work at each school ... your 'school district' closes school - not just the high school ... it affects way more than just the 'enrollment'. I can't believe someone would even draw a comparison between a 'basketball team' and a 'school district' ... it's like night and day.

(b) The D2 games in LOGAN will start on time ... tip-off set between Athens and Warren is 1:00pm

Yea Whiskers isn't it amazing with all the snow days we've had this winter that hardly any of the basketball games were canceled. As a bus driver who takes many sports trips and drives the back roads I find your post to be utterly ridiculous!

Whiskers here in the SHAC, we have canceled alot of games. West Union girls played 6 games in 8 days due to weather make ups, some were canceled before the weather hit. We didn't practice alot due to weather in the month of Jan. believe most of the schools in Southern Ohio did a really good job this winter, sure there were SOME schools, but it seems to me in the Adams, Scioto counties alot of canceled games.
